Have you owned a first gen? The bumper has natural spots for beers on either side of the bumper when the tailgate's down. The second gen fails big time here. But, a first gen fail is the spring-loaded-arm cupholder thing. Taking the good with the bad, I made a sheet metal bracket that fit a Chevy Colorado cupholder (the one in the pic) and installed it in my old truck in place of the stock one. Well, now that I'm getting ready to sell that one, and returning it somewhat to stock, I thought I'd rig up that Chevy cupholder to make up for the bumper-beer deficiency in the second gen!

I just made another sheet metal bracket, this one longer and with a 90* bend, for the cupholder to mount to, drilled holes in it, attached it to the utility rail using some nuts from my parts drawer that had a shoulder/washer built in (these slide in the rail), and some bolts and lock washer to hold the whole thing together. It's a little wobbly, but for camping and cooking on the tailgate, it'll do nicely.

I don't know if that's the best explanation. I should have taken more pics.

I added LED’s in the storage area under the HVAC controls. The cup holders were already done. The camera phone makes them look brighter than they actually are.F45BAA4F-ADD2-4BCB-9BC5-90C3BDF05F93.jpg

Rear diff drain and fill, as well as transfer case...and proceeded to strip the drain bolt on the front diff so to be continued. Used Amsoil, not sure why, mostly because I saw Mobil1 on sale all October and on Nov 1 when I went to buy it wasn't on sale anymore, so $18 for Amsoil didn't seem bad compare to M1 at $13.

DeAuto reverse lights installed today too.

Careful guys. That big hook is not defined as a recovery point. It’s not designed for something fast and dynamic like getting pulled out of a ditch with a snatch strap. It could turn into a projectile in that situation. It’s to to be used more for a tow strap. Recovery and towing are two very different things. Bulletproof Manufacturing makes a bolt on recovery point for that location. You have to use high tensile bolts also. Be safe!

Got the job done with help from @johntoyota huge thanks to him. We got through the front end in just a couple hours yesterday. and somehow during such a quick install, we still ended up getting bitched at by a grumpy old neighbor driving by in the complex while we had it up on jacks and had the grille off. Always fun to meet such pleasant neighbors. Anyways Got the spc‘s set at the +3° Setting for now

For the rear aal had to grind off the one rivet but grabbed an angle grinder and cut a hex into the head and then some bigass pliers and broke it off and grinded it down and put a coating of rust prevention over it.
    23BD348A-ED74-4219-A1B1-BBD2E2803323.jpg

The drivers side leaf bolts were no problem, i did it one side at a time rather than both at the same time, the ubolt flip kit + super bumps went in super easy once it was all undone and the toytec boss rears fit like a glove. Holy hell did i have a rough time first getting the front leaf bolt to break loose on the passenger side. Soaked it in wd40, had a 2 ft breaker bar on it, then finally just put a wrench on the inner nut used another flanged nut overtop that to keep it from popping off and whacked it with the hammer til it finally broke. But that only got the nut free on the back for some reason the threads wouldn’t grab on anything to get the bolt out of the bushing, and the part of the frame the bolt goes through was so friggin tight i had to use the pry bar to get it free.
i think we’re supposed to get some snow tonight tomorrow so i finished it up with barely perfect timing, i lost the sunlight by the time i got the passenger side in there and bolted back together so wasn’t able to get a final after photo with it all donezo, but i did get one after getting just the front done yesterday haha so it’s got quite the gangsta lean

Still need to do the extended rear brake lines, cb drop bracket, and i got some ditch lights with the roof rack i put on a while back so i scooped up a auxbeam wiring harness’s, switch and ditch light brackets to go on next

very happy with the new height though and picking up some 285s early this week and getting the alignment scheduled for right after that. I’ll keep an ear out for the spc clunk and hopefully i got a lucky set

2 weeks ago I put a new diff in, i was too cold to care enough to scrape the old gasket off and seal it properly. So today the diff came out again for the third time in a month.

Also I found out my UCA nuts were missing last week along with a bushing. (Probably since my jump in moab during rocktherapy) so I installed a new bushing and loctited it now.

Also bleed my brakes again and finally got the pedal back to normal.
