Yep I like the desert but wouldn't want to live there because of the dry heat, but would like to live there because of the absence of the humid heat

My headlights are trash lol.

I like my BD lights, though.

 

Makes complete sense. I hate the humid heat. I like the arid climate there.

 

Speaking of humidity, the condensation in my headlight is back




Must be the humid cold weather that does it because it was the same around this time last year

 

For that, i pull the rubber insulator that protects the bulb and drive it like that for a little but to dry out.

 

I've been driving like that since last year lmao



Fun fact: I threw both of them out but the passenger is the only one to condensate

 

You could take them apart and reseal them

 

Or I can just live with it and spend my limited resources on other things.




Here's my next mod. I couldn't live with an interior from 2008 and a headunit from 2035 so I'm going to add one of these Bluetooth integration kits to my stock radio

That sounds like it plugs into your Aux plug but communicates via Bluetooth.

 

It's a module that connects to an empty plug on the back of your radio. That little module box thing is what connects to your phone via Bluetooth. Everything hides nicely behind the radio and the phone connects automatically to the radio which is great since I'm the one that drives my truck 98% of the time. 05-08 trucks don't have an AUX port btw.

My FM transmitter is giving out so my music sometimes sounds fuzzy

 

Okay, that's kinda neat. It reminds me of when cars went from cassette tapes to CDs and you plugged a cassette tape to CD adapter to play songs on your Discman.

 

My truck did that twice. Head unit was replaced under warranty and worked for 4 years and then i replaced it with aftermarket this year

 

I wanted to go the aftermarket route, and even got a radio bezel but I can't stand the look of an aftermarket radio in the 2nd Gen Tacomas. I was actually planning on getting a 2015 center console from the junkyard then getting a 2015 OEM radio but Joey told me to not waste my money, and looking back that would've been kinda pricey. I can live with my stock radio since I use my phone for maps and Siri.

 

The best thing about my truck is that I don't have that fugly silver trim. I have blacked out plastic from the factory

Yeah, that does suck, but I'll get to it when I'm done with my function mods.
