Installed a new blower motor this weekend! No more high-pitched squeal while I am warming it up in the morning!

I bought a camper shell to start a matching Tacoma bed trailer build. I'll have almost 48" from the floor to ceiling :D

    Wut?

That is a rated recovery point that comes with certain trim level Tacoma, Tundra, and 4Runner models. It’s common for people to source them second hand and retrofit them to their Toyota’s.

I don’t disagree that with the right attachment and bolts that can be a great recovery point. That is how mine is set up. My comment was around that tow hook. You put a snatch strap around that in a ditch recovery and you now have a dangerous situation.

Do people use snatch straps to get someone out of a ditch around you? That’s a terrible practice to engage in for a list of reasons.

Wow man. I'm just trying to get someone from being hurt, and you pivoted the discussion. Maybe mud vs. ditch would have been a better word.

I did an oil change yesterday with Mobil 1 and a Wix 51516xp. I'll be putting an order for a 5 pack of D3 filters today.

Cold Air, level kit, cosmetics, and way more lights than I should have.
I should really take a picture, but I plasti-dipped my chrome grill surround and rear Tacoma emblem. Removed the 2 side emblems. I really like the looks of this little pickup. I am more interested in keeping it mechanically sound, but the cosmetic mods are fun too. My last real cosmetic mod will be the rear bumper chrome... either plasti-dip or bumpershellz (autoanything.com). Though I would rather a fancy steel bumper, I just don't need it right now. Any thought/suggestions/opinions?

Edit: also planning to replace headlights and taillights eventually... the list keeps growing each time I look at the poor thing...

New to Tacoma. Factory radio in 2014 Sport 4x4 cuts out at times for 10-30 seconds. Then comes back on. Not every time, might be 2 weeks before it cuts out
    again, might be 2 days.

Any hints on what and where to look, and how to pull radio out if required?

    Thanks!

Wind noise was killing me on an hour long drive yesterday, so I spent the time to install 1/4" irrigation line into the door weather strips as described here. The wind is howling today as this cold front moves in and absolutely no kazoo sounds. So, while I won't claim it fixed until I drive in a few more headwinds, I think it was worth the effort.

This is a solid fix for sure. I had the same issue on my 2015 and after much effort got the dealership to replace the weather strips and that fixed it. I’d be more than happy to share the part numbers with you if you are interested
