    According to Mat Wilson from OV tune, the 3.5 can safely handle up to 500 hp at the crank based on the comparable Lexus engines without any internal modifications. I plan on boosting my engine but haven't decided on which kit OV will be offering yet. If I can convince him to offer his supercharger kit to come with a quick change pulley then I would likely go that route. If not, then the twin turbo may be the way to go. Right now I am trying to find the time to install the spare heads that have been ported and polished along with the titanium valves taking up space in my closet since I don't want to leave them in the garage.

    Question for you boys.....and to get our thread rolling for today....

    Some of my mods are 2.7, JFR pulley wrap, stock size gatorback belt, FPR boost referenced, custom ovtune for this pulley. As you all know I have appropriate supportive mods.

    My question is FOR A 2.6 PULLEY......short of adjusting the tune. What else is needed to from my 2.7 to the pulley listed above? Also, judging by how tight my belt is cuz of the JFR wrap, I’m assuming I can stay with my stock size and not have to fillet a bigger belt???

    Opinions please....

    IMO - nothing else is needed. I'm running a stock belt on a 2.5" pulley with JFR wrap and have no indication of slip. That 0.1" difference is likely to net you less than 1lb of boost at WOT so, you may not even require tune adjustment.

    I have a 2.6 for sale if youre interested.. i think thatll definitely be needed:D

    but other than that, i dont think youd need anything else. The FPR mod should bump up fuel pressure and keep AFRs happy

    yeah Robert I’ll hit you up if I go for it. As far as AFR’s I’m still a little rich to the more flow of air may as well just put me back even.....

    Definitely worth it imo. I noticed some nice gains when going from my 2.7 to the 2.6. With my 2.6 i saw about 10lbs peak

    Yes, I do. There's more to this than just boost at WOT. While you probably won't see a huge increase in top-end boost, shrinking the pulley makes the truck feel more responsive, improving everyday driveability.

    Don’t quote me on this but I think their shit is right around the corner. It will be interesting to see after all these choices are out which one will prove superior. Also, it’s cool as hell there will be these choices for a 3rd gen (Incase I ever end up with one) but I’m still more than happy with my 2nd gen and don’t see that changing
