The manual and the sun visor state 55 mph, could be 50. I'll check in a minute.

I got my old tacoma stuck in 4low once and drove home at like 20 miles an hour for 10 miles. That was fun. Binding and jumping like crazy. I suspect 4hi on moderately straight roads would be fine.

Yeah, sorry my mistake. I was thinking 60kM and converted it to miles for those still in the dark ages with Imperial Measure. I will correct in my post. Thanks for catching that. My buddies in Myanmar will appreciate it.

True. It’s a testosterone inhibitor. Funny thing is, it not only turns the driver into a Snowflake, but the truck also loses its mojo.

It’s interesting for sure. I am most curious about what I see as the beginnings of an honest backlash against all the thought and speech control that we are supposed to subject ourselves to. If the pendulum starts swinging the other way, I wonder how far it will go?

The strange thing is the present mash up, where we have a situation where the very people arguing for a kinder, gentler, and more inclusive society, are also the scariest bunch of close-minded Nazis I’ve ever laid eyes on, but that’s a discussion for another forum.

    Like, so many.
I image some people got 4wd for winter conditions or for hunting season. Maybe some people drive on the beach in the summer. Lots of reasons, probably. Not everyone likes to go off roading regularly. But a lot of folks may occassionally need 4wd.

This thread has me wondering. If I need to exercise 4wd, and the point is to get the diff moving, can I just pop it into 4wd sometimes and not lock the hubs? Seems like that should achieve the desired effect.

If you have manual hubs, yes. But your hub locks might seize.

    Cool.

Well, one of the locks is new, and the other needs to be replaced, but still works and is just hard to turn. The seals appear to have failed and water got in.

Agreed. People need to put some thought in what they post before they post.

You might want to do a little research and make sure running the front drivetrain “unloaded” is not an issue.

I wish my truck had manual hubs. I liked those. Not quite sure why, but getting out of the truck to lock the hubs was a ritual I enjoyed on my old 4x4.
