I just started TaeKwondo 2 months ago. I qualify as a fat old man and am still sporting a white belt. But, I have definitely gained in flexibility and endurance which is my goal. Plus my plantar fasciitis is greatly improved.

    Good Morning,

First-time poster in this thread, long time follower. Thought I would finally post and join this fitness community. I'm 36, 5'9", 180lbs. Been lifting for quite a while now, usually by myself unless I'm deployed. Currently on week 9 of a 16-week program, where I should break through my PRs on squat (295), bench (265), and deadlift (405). Did legs this morning and it felt great. Any feedback is welcomed.

Thanks. I'm not a fan of the hexagon plates, But you have to work with what you got.

I feel noticeably better on keto than off. I still feel really good on IF and under 100g of carbs per day. The IF gets you into ketosis during part of your fasting window, keto obviously keeps you in it all the time.

I just feel unstoppable on keto so why break the diet if you feel so great on it?

Running I feel great... lifting I was noticing I lack endurance towards the end of a session BUT I was also adding volume. So was it the diet or the increasing volume?

I am going to experiment with a CKD or cyclical keto diet where I do eat carbs (low fat, high pro, higher carb like a refeed) every 14-21 days. See if that makes a difference with lifting performance. I am also going to add back in speed training which like lifting is more glycogen based training.
So I will play around with a little bit of carb intake soon.

Maybe 1-3 times a year in Memphis where I am. That's for what I would consider as legitimate snow that you can go out and mess around in. We get freezing rain/ice a little more often than that.

It was around 57 at one point today. It will be 19 with a wind chill of 5 when I go to work in the morning.

I didn’t know TN ever really saw teens like that.

I really enjoy the cold and snow. It means my ass is sitting inside, on the couch not working on a honey do list when I’m not working my other two jobs. Lol
I have a legit excuse to be lazy.

Although I’m frequently asked why it is that I can go for a 10 mile long run in the snow but I somehow can’t finish projects around the house because the garage is too cold
    :notsure:

We gets lots of cold spells. I see zero or very close to it a couple times every year. Then it’ll be in the 50s the next week. Very little snow though.
