    Greetings,

Purchased a 2009 Toyota Tacoma through an auto auction and have owned it for approx 1 year. Today, took truck through a carwash and during the rinse, water leaked through from right corner of the windshield passenger side. The water dripped from several spots, from the far right side to approximately the rear-view mirror. Noticed those dried clear silicone appears to have been applied on the roof, along the black plastic strip which runs from the front to rear of the roof top. I also notice a small gap in the upper right corner of the windshield seal/gasket. To resolve (and save some $$) would reapplication of clear silicone along the black plastic strip and the windshield gasket do the job or pay approx $200 to have windshield resealed?

    Welcome to The Forum!

I would want to know where the leak is before I started replacing parts; the windshield seal or the plastic moulding.
