Just remember there are a shit ton of people that have read your story, listened to the audio, have cried, and prayed for you. We are all pulling for you. We all pray for your complete recovery, that includes the mental and emotional side of things.

And regarding your comment about what the doctor said, thats a wake up call. Make sure you get your affairs in order. Tomorrow is not promised.

    I lost a wife, so I know.

That’s because they have been through hard times, and know what helping others means.
I used to live in a trailer park, most of the adults were great people that always came together. We had a flood in the park, all the truck guys came out with their pickups to pull all the cars out of the flooded streets.
The next day all the construction folks came out and helped with the elderly to fix their water damage.

More likely someone who was poor and made it out.......but let's not generalize. I've known a decent amount of "rich" people and they were not as portrayed on TV.

Bit of a update for you all. Ive been removed from "fall risk" the other day, my neurologist is 99% confident that I got west nile virus, but the tests that were done didnt show it because they were done on blood and not my spinal tap.

Im up and able to walk without my cane or walker, but I keep my cane with me for balance. I still have leg cramps and leg pain, but I also have cold legs and feet to add to the mix. Im wearing thermal pants, socks and a thermal shirt, but Im still cold.

So, things are getting better in terms of walking, but many other things are just the same as they were before. I have a 50-50 shot of getting everything back, I am hopeful I will be back to normal by spring time.

My brother is in AZ, my parents are in FL. They keep telling me to come down there with them. I would love to go down there and have a chance at being warm.
My uncle lives in HI though, but he lives in a tin shack in the woods :)

Does any form of exercise help?

We are so glad you are better and continue on the mend.

Most things make me really sore after, stretching feels nice though.

I did try sitting in a hot tub at the YMCA, that lasted a whole of 3 minutes before I had to call my wife and one of the other people in the hot tub to drag me out. I got really light headed and my arms started tingling and going numb.

That can happen to a normal person. I would definitely try more hot tub therapy. But, small increments to start. Or, just lie on the beach with a cold Corona. :D

I have a heated blanket and a few bags of play sand from the sand box... also I only have coors light.

But the hot tub thing was weird, when the water was at my shoulders, I could feel the water pressure pushing my lungs, it was making it hard for me to breath. I tried to sit up enough that my chest was out of the water, but it was too late, I was already getting dizzy.
Sitting in the shower im just fine, so its not the heat, just seems like its the water pressure.

Altitude Sickness affects people vastly differently. We had a young girl die up near Aspen I think who was a flatlander who came in and immediately went up mountain. Didn't realize the warning signs, and didn't make it.

Glad you are doing better OP!
