With the front runner doors you can have your buddies do battle with machine guns on the sides and have the armor protection when the hatch is closed. Thats a benefit you must consider. Also they look cool as shit, the windoors dont fit the design language of the Drifter in my opinion, especially when you go black. Your wife will thank you, trust me.

Well, I was hopeful that this fan would give me some extra clearance to get in the garage, since another site (conservatively) puts the combo of low-profile base and flat lid at 2.5" above the roof. The same conservative measurement on mine is ~3 - 3.125".
    https://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Fan-Tastic-Fan-p/vts-414.htm

But no go... It's the same as mine. The 2.5" they quoted is apparently just to the outside edge of the lid.
    ...Time to continue the search.

I have 2 standard windoors and love the access. That being said if money was not an issue I would 100% have gotten the Frontrunner doors, super strong, beefy and bigger opening

Have you thought about airing down to get into your garage?

Mine is on order for April. Does anybody know if someone owns one in the Northeast, Closer to Mass the better. I would like to scope one out especially one with windows.

Yeah, I can definitely get enough clearance by airing down. But there's no way I'm doing that (multiple times) every day.
I probably didn't specify well enough, but I'm talking about on a very regular basis.

Ahh I see, my truck is a daily now but once the Drifter and GooseGear go in it will be a weekend truck. I have a feeling that it wont fit into my garage....

Damn close to 20 inches from the composite bed to the bottom of the frame of the front runner doors on a 2nd gen with KB Voodoo caps.

Need better description. Are you talking from the bottom floor of the bed or the top of the bed side?

Top of bed side to the bottom of the windoor - Sorry for the bad explanation.

Edit: I’m trying to figure out if I can even reach through windoors into my bed

Gotcha. Its only a few inches. And you should be able to reach in through the windoors no problem. Even if you need to use a small stool to reach all the way in to the middle or something. i use a small stool for getting in through the back to make thing a lot easier.
