In all honesty, I would change them out and put in the 600 lb springs, and then not have to worry, then if you do add a bumper, skid plate trio, winch, etc.....then just swap them out for the 650lb ones since you already have them. You might install them with the 650 lb springs and find the ride quality too harsh and then have to change them out anyway.

Could also put the 650# on say, 2/1 notches see how it is. If its way to stiff, swap in the 600s.

True but if I’m pulling them apart to change the notch I might as well go 600 so I’m not disappointed

True, its not hard to do. If they are dirty, clean em up. When the circlip gets packed with sand/dirt it doesnt like to move. I cleaned mine with a quick spray of brake clean, then WD40.

How much lift did you end up with, on this combo? I have a lot of weight up front too and curious if I should go ahead with 650 or 700lb coils. Maybe a 650lb 15” if I can find one or have Eibach make a pair.

I dont remember my stock starting numbers. I'll try to remember to get a hub to flare measurement tomorrow. It's probably around 2inch give or take. I could get more, but when I first put the 700# it as to stiff at 6/5 settings.

Hmm. I need to be a 2.5” min in the front as I have 35’s going on soon.

I’ll call Eibach and see if they make a 15” spring. I don’t want to have a 700lb spring on the top notches

The 6112 are rated for max 2" anyways. So, you'd probably have to go to a different coil over setup.

Maybe get away with them on 5/5 and add a small spacer on top?

According to the chart post on Headstrongs website for the 6112s.

@SearArtist in all honesty, putting a 700lb spring into the 6112 will kill it eventually anyway. Maybe a Fox adjustable set up might be more what you are looking for.

    Fox....:puke:

I really want to avoid a high end shock to be honest. I drive 30k miles a year and don’t want to have to be sending them to get rebuilt every 12-18mo.

Suppose I could get a 16” 650lb spring and put them on 1/2 or 2/3 notches and run a 1/4” top spacer if needed to get to 2.5-2.75” :notsure:

I'd look into ADS, in my opinion.
Thats the route I'm going when everything else is said and done. With the weight I have, the 700s are working out so far.

I have the 6112 with the 650lb bilstein spring. Granted it is on a 2nd gen, but I have a bumper, skid plate trio, and Winch and it has 2.25" lift. You already have 1 inch higher stock than me. What are you running for weight?

    150lb bumper
    60lb winch
    130lb Steel skid trio
    140lb Sliders

again, I need to be at a min of ~23.5” hub to fender, to “fit” the upcoming 35’s.

I don't think you will be able to make it work with a 6112 set up then. I am 22" from the hub to fender. If you are doing 35's and drive 30k a year, kings might be the only thing in your future.......

I want to be level with no rake. If i did notch 4/5 with a 1/2in shim in the rear would that sacrifice the ride quality at all? Would i be better off going notch 3/4 with nothing to the rear besides the 5160's?

What year is your truck? What trim level? 2wd / 4wd? What's your current rear suspension setup? Do you have any additional weight? Winch / bumpers / armor etc?

Can't answer your question without additional information.
