    that was my exact point to him. I told him that as a consumer, I'd love to add more power but if the trans is still gonna perform the same as it does stock then I'd be concerned the added power would kill me or break the truck. It's no fun driving at 2100 rpm and giving a little extra throttle and getting dumped 2 gears to 5500rpm (not actual numbers but we all know the scenario too well). That's when he told me they weren't doing anything to the trans programming that he knew of. He did mention their powertrain warranty though :blahblah:

    Y’all keep saying this stuff like it hasn’t been discussed a thousand times on here that the goal of the twin turbos is to have usable low end torque (like the ecoboost) but still high end power (again, like the ecoboost).

    Kinda took that quote out of context. Right after the section you quoted, he said twins would be awesome.

    His point was regarding cost

    A while back Mat mentioned they likely wouldn’t, but I’m sure he’ll chime in eventually. I can’t see how they possibly would, considering a top mount setup will mount directly to the head, the same location the OEM style dump tubes mount.

    I don't live in CA so I don't know alot about this, but does the magnuson SC need to be shipped with the tune to get the sticker? Maybe one could buy a "tuner" kit and then just use the OVtune?

    I also kind of like the character of this motor, a more powerful version of it with the same character might be kind of fun to drive with the manual. But TTs are intriguing. The fact that there will be options is awesome, can't wait to see what this motor is capable of.

    I’m not really saying he’s wrong, per se, but his comment was followed up by a comparison to a race car. But Mat said earlier that with minimal psi and the gear lock in 6 the truck will stay in 6th. That sounds more like a nice calm highway cruise to me. Maybe the SC will do the same, but I think he’s made it clear that there will be usable boost at low rpm from the TT’s. But everyone seems to think that’s not the case. Maybe I’m missing something?

    Since both Magnuson and Harrop kits come with quick change pulleys will your kit also come with a quick change pulley? This will make it much easier to install smaller pulleys for increased boost.

    Big fat ditto to this.
    Why the fuck even bother for 75-90hp at the crank ? @$6500 ??? :crazy:

    I've owned turbo cars and supercharged. My vote is for turbo(s). and 450hp at the wheels. The 8.75" rear diff will handle it. It's the same gears/pumpkin as the 5.7 Tundra.

    @OVTune
    Have you considered a setup similar to the old Buick Grand Nationals ? I've owned several over the years. Stupid simple and stupid fast with old school tech on 231 cubic inches.
    The factory single turbo was IIRC a 36mm unit with a 3 bolt flange, but it came with a vacuum actuated wastegate setup. The LH exhaust was plumbed under the engine and brought up the passenger side, integrated with the RH exhaust manifold where the turbo mounted... in the same approx real estate you are using for a centrifugal blower. Turbo downpipe followed alongside the RH manifold and had a single pipe exit under the car. The cold side outlet dumped straight forward, conveniently in the direction of a FMIC.

    Just thinking outloud.
    Carry on fighting the good fight. :burnrubber:

    30% might be a little lean, but it would make a big difference in towing and the driving experience.

    I had the same thoughts, and I’m assuming that would have been listed under “kit includes” considering it’s a pretty crucial component to any FI setup.
