Labradews and hound dogs are pretty much all I’ve had in my life. Wouldn’t mind a German Shepard and/or husky at some point.

Hound dogs make good pets, loyal and friendly asf, but they have lots of energy and are loud as shit when they want to be. Pretty crazy to have them be crazy enough to eat a bears face and then not be afraid to a have 2 year old kid aggressively pet and pester them without worry.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Hounds are a special thing for sure. Amazing what they can do.

My husky is the sweetest, most loyal, kind, dog I've ever been around. But huskies are stubborn as shit. You literally have to make THEM WANT to do what you want them to do. Definately an aquired taste lol.

Our german shepherd is the easiest dog Ive ever been around. She is so damn smart, it's comical how easy it is to get her to listen.

But the dog that will always have the biggest impact on me was Riley. An Alaskan Klee Kia (miniature husky). That dude was hands down, my absolute buddy. He was only the size of a cat, but had the personality of Rodney Dangerfield... he was a fricken perfect dog. Lost him 3 Christmas Eves ago.

Ok, well, a Klee Kia is one I’ve never heard of, will definitely look into them when the time comes.

I think a female GS and Husky would be ideal.

And while we're talking dogs... here's Ziggy. This was a couple days after my daughter found him in a card board box dumped in the orchard. Some asshole had left him to die.

this is something i have not heard of yet
put a nice spin on it i guess

City of Omaha crews were out spreading salt overnight, said Austin Rowser, the city's street maintenance engineer. Crews didn't pretreat roads for the snow, he said, because the snow totals were expected to be low.

"What pretreating does is it makes snow easier to move with a plow," Rowser said. "Pretreating does not melt snow."

They do that here about once every week on major roads during the winter. It's just a glycol spray, makes the snow have a tough time adhearing to the asphalt

Alaskan Klee Kia is a bit expensive (although not as expensive as many good hounds). And the breeders are a bit picky. We had to "apply" and then be "approved" to own one.

    FB_IMG_1510375811393.jpg

We had applied and been approved to buy Cloe (upper right). And we developed a relationship with the breeder. So when the breeder repossesed Riley (left) from his first owner, she ended up giving him to us, because she knew we would give him a good home. Jasper (center) and Riley were totally best friends.

Lucky we don’t buy hound dogs, just raise, train, and sell.

I’m not gonna be looking for a dog for quite a few years sadly, but maybe some day.
