Key Fob is opening garage door

I was coming out the house today trying to open my truck when all of a sudden the garage door started closing. I thought someone was playing a joke on me but still 8 hours later it is still doing the same thing. I am wondering if anyone has ever heard of anything like this

Try changing the setting on your garage door, and opener. They may somehow be the same frequency

its pretty funny but I can no longer unlock my truck unless I stick the key in the handle and every time I go to lock or unlock the door I either close or open the garage door unintentionally

 

I wish that would be interesting to see someone opening their car with a garage door opener

 

just open up the GD opener control and the opener and change one of the dip switches to a different position in each.

 

see the problem is I have a new garage door opener that is electronically programed and doesn't use did switches but my key does lock my truck when im not near the garage and I have had the truck for awhile and it just now started randomly happening

 

My friend had a truck that had a key fob that unlocked the honda next door. He'd fuck with him all the time.

Get a remote start, then one push, Starts It, Unlocks It, and Opens the Door.
Hop in and drive away! That's Freakin' Awsome. I want one.

yeah when you start a manual with it in first gear and the clutch not in it does a little forward lurch and would hit whatever lies in front

 

There are ways to bypass the clutch kill switch (so I'm told) you just gotta remember to put your e-brake on and leave it in neutral but I don't think it's exactly legal. At least in my state it isn't. I still think it's worth it to have the manual though. Never been a fan of automatics.

 

you could always cut the power to your GD and lock it temporarily until u figure out how to have it re-programmed

 

Getting off-topic i know, but since when are remote starters illegal in VA? This is news to me.

Also, don't most trucks already come with the clutch override switch? Simply tapping into that seems reasonable enough.
