    More than I can afford
    Here is what I have.
86 Standard cab 4x4. It is just a roller/basket case at this point, took it apart about 8 years ago. Has a Total Chaos Gen 2 kit, 1st gen Tundra rear end, SUA Deavers, 12" shackles on relocated hangers. I have fenders, hood and bedsides for it. Engine was toast but I still have it along with the trans, transfer case, front diff, brand new T100 axles and wiring harness along with a couple of bins of bagged and tagged hardware. Was supposed to be a caged dual sport truck. Just one of those thing where life caught up to me and I haven't got back to it. Title is on non op.

    IMG_1758.jpg

    87 Extracab SR5 4x4:
280,000 original paint survivor (It photographs better then it looks IRL but what paint is left is still shiny). It has all the usual light duty wheeling dings, scrapes etc on it.
4" Trailmaster crap pile bracket lift on the front, OME springs in the rear. 4:88s, TruTrac in the front (plan was for an ARB in the rear, just haven't gotten to it).
Addicted Offroad front bumper, Stubbs welding sliders, Trailgear rear. Shittybilt winch, synthetic rope
Snugtop with windoors, Storage/sleeping area in bed.
5x 15x8 M/T Alcoas with almost brand new 33x10.5 BFG A/Ts (have 500 miles on them)
Interior has Lexus seats, new carpet, sound deadening, intact center console, later 4runner steering wheel, Pioneer/Alpine/JL/MB stereo equipment.
22re, stock internals, Thorley header, hi flow cat, Flowmaster. Engine is supposedly a ~50,000 pull out from a 93 that was done by the previous owner (about 12 years ago by the PO). I recently did injectors, all new belts, hoses, vacuum lines etc.

In the 12 years I have owned this it has never been a daily. I think I have put maybe 5,000 miles on it. I go back and forth on the idea of selling it, I seldom drive it (500 miles in the last two years) and it just kinda takes up space in my shop but I like owning it/looking at it. Plus they seem to be getting more valuable/collectable as the years go on. I have seriously considered blowing it apart and restoring it but...

Downsides are it is painfully slow, it will need the timing chain done eventually, it has the occasional cold start tensioner rattle (I have 22re Performance timing cover, chain and tensioner for it) and it has two quarter sized rust spots where the windshield and drip molding covers meet on the A pillar.

It did just get smogged a few weeks ago so it is in the transfer window. As far as price, I dunno. Not a super motived seller but everything has a price.

That’s clean but I’m planning to do some bead rolled aluminum with some mesh inserts... kinda like this Baja bug I just did

I have pictures for days of different projects I’ve done over the years... I just love building stuff. One of my personal favorites is the little turbo buggy I built for my brother

I grew up in SoCal riding dirt bikes and man I miss going fast. No need to get a bike out here because I would not enjoy it near as much.

Funniest part is that buggy with dirt tires will go more places than most Tacoma’s, I know because he has followed my 81’ through some nasty stuff. 1000lbs, 250hp, 33” tires, 15” of travel and rear mounted engine :)

Over the weekend a good buddy of mine saw my completed truck and decided he has to have the kit I do and more.

Little backstory is my buddy is a successful attorney with an 05’ DCSB. I went with him when he bought the truck way back when and it was in near perfect condition. I then helped him do upper arms, shocks, leafs, wheels/tires etc and he has proceeded to beat the hell out of the truck for the last few years. It’s almost sad to see how bad the truck is at this point, he drives it to the limit every time out and it shows.

Anyways the plan for his truck is the full JD front end kit I have, 35’s, Kings all the way around, modifying the front bumper, high clearance rear bumper and 4:88 gears. This is going to be a fun build and cool to bring some life back into this taco... stay tuned!

The picture is of it’s good side... the other side of the bed is completely smashed in, the fender flair, running board and OE front bumper are some where it in the dunes. The tailgate is so twisted it will never close again and the back bumper has been ripped off the frame on the pass side. The poor truck is pretty beat, pics to come
