How often are you guys rotating tires? I've been doing it every oil change, but I'm noticing cupping occur before that interval. Is 5k more ideal?

Did you guys know DC is a 'no fault' state? Meaning if you're in an automobile accident in DC then it doesn't matter who was at fault. Everyone goes through their own insurance provider. There are only a couple of exemptions ....it blows my mind that someone can fuck up your shit and you've gotta pay for it.

I wasn't in an accident, my sister was (she's fine).

It was probably her fault too....

Glad she is ok.....DC got all kinds of weird shit going on. Not surprising with the number of fender benders there though.

Love the new Avatar.....Had to turn the brightness down though.

Is it new? Some idiot rear-ended me a few years ago and his insurance paid for it.

I think its been that way since mid to late 90's.....

Washington D.C.’s “No-Fault” Car Insurance Laws
Washington, D.C. follows a “no-fault” car insurance system. This means, when an accident occurs, each driver involved in the crash files an injury claim with his or her own insurer first, regardless of who bore the legal “fault” for the accident. (Our article No-Fault Car Insurance and State Laws: The Basics covers no-fault insurance in more detail.) In exchange for this fairly comprehensive insurance coverage, motorists are prohibited from suing one another over car accident injuries unless the case involves one of the following:

    • the injury causes substantial permanent scarring or disfigurement
    • the injury causes a substantial and “medically demonstrable” impairment in performing daily activities
    • the injury causes a “medically demonstrable” impairment that prevents the injured person from doing his or her daily activities for at least 180 days, or
    • the medical costs from the injury exceed the PIP benefits available under the drivers’ no-fault policies.

I rotate mine every 5K, but I also change my oil every 5K. I've had no issues with my tires to date.

Ok looks like it's just for injury...not damage.

"In general, no-fault coverage eliminates injury liability claims and lawsuits in smaller accidents in exchange for direct payment by the injured person’s insurance company of medical bills and lost wages -- up to certain dollar amounts -- regardless of who was at fault for the accident.

No-fault doesn't usually apply to vehicle damage (except in a few states, like Michigan); those claims are typically still handled by filing a liability claim against the one who is responsible for the accident, or by looking to your own collision insurance."
