TSS Disable and Front Radar

I don't understand this. Wasn't there a recall of some sort for the TSS that fixed some issues? Maybe yours needs to be updated.

I've never had any issues at all with mine. It's perfect. I've used it going through Denver and never had any problems.

You must not make any cross-country trips. I used to go back and forth from North Carolina to Ohio and North Dakota to Ohio and if I didn't have CC it would have been a giant pain in the ass.

Do you have a pro grill? Pro grill drops the sensor location quite a bit.

 

Never once felt the need to automate part of the car on any road trip.

 

I hate unnecessary automation. I'm an Automation Technician.

But if something makes sense, is safe, and greatly increases usability, I'm all for it.

I remember the days when you had to use a map and or map quest printouts for long road trips. Thank God for GPS.

I also love backup cameras and front and rear sensors. They're all tools.

 

Yes, there was a service bulletin related to the TSS, and it is discussed on here somewhere, and in fact, "Robmotive" did a great video on it on Youtube. Check out his channel and search for it if interested. BUT, the "fix" was related to water somehow getting onto the actual sensor itself. The "fix" was to put on some kind of "tape" or something like that, and wrap it around the sensor, to help keep out water. Sometimes, Toyota can be really tacky, and this was one of those times!

 

Full automation isn't really that far away. The bad thing about technology is, sometimes, you find out that you like it.

 

I hear Sears stores are doing great, you know, resisting all that new fandangled technology.....

"OPTION" is the key word here. I personally couldn't care less about the PCS light being on. I just want the option to CHOOSE if I want the PCS to function or not. When I purchased my '15 TRD O/R one of the 1st things I did was remove the door ding "speaker" from behind the instrument cluster & then I did the ABS/Traction control disable mod as well, for when I am off road. 2 super simple mods. I personally enjoy these trucks as simple as possible.
