Been there, heard that before...

+1 to all of this. The only way I'd consider a 3rd Gen is with some kind of forced induction to cure its lack of low-end grunt.

Crazy ass expensive. I’m highly considering the new Advan racing RGD-2 wheels coming out which are up there too.

yah I was hinting to @Roostfactor he needs to give us a CA version. The JFR setup is awesome.

Nice! Always wanted to hit up SEMA. Interesting to see new forceD induction. Curious to see how it all plans out. Would be rad to hit 500HP.

My old wheels have lots of memories. ED5B25AF-06EA-4BFA-AD1F-AFC97F693FBF.jpg

New rims will have some soon enough. Wanted real beadlocks this go around but weren’t in the budget. Went with scs Ray 10 since they already partner with OMF who does beadlock conversions. So I’m sure I’ll send my wheels out in a year or so to get converted to true beadlocks.

Yeah damage is making hem hard to sell. Even at 50% of what they cost new I haven’t had any bites. I’ll likely pull the rings, strip paint, clean up, fill gashes in with filler and repaint the rings black or chrome for an easier sale.

The 1900 is definitely good for 450-500. Be nice if it was the 2600 though. Curious to see how the 1900 would compare to the 2.3L whipple. I think whipple is using the tvs tech?
$6500 would be a fair price.

Wonder if this will get URD to release the whipple sooner

This right here. I didn't switch to 2.3 so much for power. It felt near the same to 2.5 on top end but it did feel amazing not only being able to rev quicker due to faster response, but also listen to the blower SCREAM at 5500 RPM and sound like it was killing babies while hauling ass up to whatever my desired speed at the moment is. :D

It appears they have. It appears that this thread has been a hot button for multiple vendors at that. People can see that there is a cult like following for the M90 and that the owners of boosted tacos don't play around when it comes to modding. ;)

Just like the GTO had multiple blower offerings at it's time (which made it a very formidable machine at that) back in 04-2012+ this truck is destined to become the same thing the GTO was if we get various supercharger releases from multiple manufacturers. Not only would that allow price drops across the map because of the competition, but it would also give us the ultimate in mechanical power adder options. With HPTuners now on our side, the doors in this arena have been blown wide open.

I would actually rename this thread to include all available blower offerings if that actually does happen!

That's weird. They claim the lowest noise of any MT. I'd imagine they are bad on wet pavement. Compared to the Toyo Open Country MT they are cheap. I was considering these until I talked myself out of an MT on my daily driver. And those wheel prices are crazy. I can see spending that on something more premium, but not for a Tacoma. Im struggling to justify spending over $200/ wheel... Guess that's why I am running FJ cruiser takeoffs. But this is all just my opinion...

Anyways, still debating on trying to sell my FIC flow matched 650s and getting a set from URD so I can throw on the 2.6. Or pulling the UCON and going HP tuner. Neither will be a cheap decision. Seems like to run the HP tuner, you better have a spare ECU on hand and flashed with the TRD profile, maybe I'm just paranoid?

Personally I think that's being a bit paranoid. And I'm confident I've flashed more ECU's than anyone with HPTuners on the Toyota Platform to date (and bricked more ECU's anyone too? 2).

There is a risk, yes. But if you take precautions they're well mitigated.

They've drastically improved the write process since the initial release.

I installed a bunch of the Maggy sc kit weeks before the actual sc install. I did this so I could continue daily driving it.
    I installed:

    Crank pulley
FMIC with lines and reservoir (cap or tape open lines to sc intercooler)
Intercooler pump and wiring (pulled fuse)
    Installed smaller pulley on sc

Doing this allowed me to take my time on each part of the install and I was less stressed on completing the main sc install myself over a weekend knowing I had much less work to do.
