One time I got pulled over around midnight on Labor Day and I had some fairly expensive cigars in my glovebox that I’d forgotten about, and they came into view. Cop asked if they were “just cigars” (Translation: “Are those cigars with weed in them?”) Of course they were, and I answered truthfully. This was back in 2017. The reason I got pulled over was for making a left on a red light at one of those stupid intersections where the left turn arrow operates independently of the other lights. The lights to go straight were green, the arrow to go left was red, it was late, I was tired and there was nobody around, so I absentmindedly went for it. I was five minutes from home, I had just driven about forty minutes from my Grandma’s house, and I was 100% stone cold sober. Cop let me off with a written warning.

Also, are talking about legit bath salts that you put in the bathtub, or the special “bath salts” that people take to get high?

I once heard of a guy who arrested over donut glaze on a plastic utensil in his vehicle when the cops mistook it for meth. The charges were later dropped when the test inevitably came back negative for meth, and that man sued the police department for a substantial sum of money.

Some people like to smell "scents". I clean the inside of my truck on a regular basis but I like to smell different scents other than clean car smells.

Every so often I still get the new car smell. I like the smell of black ice. Nostalgia and all that.

I've heard of folks using bug spray to "clean" their headlights once they get that haze........never understood that.

The drug class "Bath Salts" got the name because they look like the Epsom Salts, etc that you put in your bathtub. So for a visual based question...yes.

I thought they were selling them legally as bath salts? Like the whole "not for human consumption" thing. Or is that a myth?

I could see that working. The stuff melts plastic. I sprayed some in my boat once and it got on the vinyl and the vinyl got sticky like you had held a match to it.

Every time I bought a modification for my Tacoma, I always wondered what the point of getting high was...

In the early days, it wasn't uncommon to see them labelled as bath products, plant food, etc with that disclaimer to get around the FDA. Nothing illegal in selling "stuff" until it creates a problem. That's why synthetics are so dangerous. You make some synthetic drug illegal, you change one simple aspect of a chemical chain and now its something "new" and not illegal. Meanwhile, you may have just changed a relatively harmless drug into a superweapon unintentionally.

Kinda like how Ethanol is fun, Methanol not so much.

yeah, that was a sick story.
