    I read that online too, but, I definitely gained low end. I was very skeptical about all the comments but my truck pulls a little harder from 1700 on up. It accelerates better with less pedal. I think this is why I also gained almost 1 mpg, because the truck can hold it's speed with less throttle. This was a combination between cruising on the freeway at about 2000-2500 rpm and stop and go traffic.

    Do the retard configuration first. AFAIK, nobody has dyno’d these yet with an otherwise stock motor

    Pretty much stock. Intake, URD Y-pipe, TRD exhaust, HP tuner (justdsm tune).
    I didn't notice much gain from any of those mods except the tune and cam gears.

    No upper intake manifold spacer? I scoped out your build after I asked and it’s listed there. I have a 3/4” one I wanna throw on when I install my gears

    It was a very subtle change. I do know that it didn't effect anything negatively.

    It's been a while since I installed it. After that I installed larger tires, deeper gears, and heavy beadlocks.

    I dont necessarily care what is done to power (but knowing how the trucks timing is done and how its adaptive and how these cam gears work, power gains will be all over the rev rang).... if i can get better mpgs i like the sound of that. Even at 1mpg gain payback is ~ 6-8 months at 18mpg @ 20k miles a year.

    The cam gears bumped my mpg's up 1. I have not gotten anything better than 13.8 after I installed my beadlocks a few months ago, no matter how I drove. My ultraguage shows 15 but it drops down and averages to about 14.8 after some city driving. I didn't get the gears for mpg's, but it's nice. After more driving, my truck can hold it's speed and accelerates better at partial throttle from 2000 rpm on up.
