Guys I know this has probably been hashed out in a few threads and yes I understand they make a faux grille and I am not interested.

I want to get the non sensor model TRD PRO OEM or Genuine part for my truck as mine is a 2016, yes I know you can get the other model cheaper again I want what I want so dont waste a post letting me know cause I am already aware.

I found some for around $350-360 so I was just wondering if any of you guys have found any from dealer or authorized parts reps for cheaper?

Looking for this specific PN: PT228-35170....any help is much appreciated.

I mean $350 sounds reasonable for OEM, but if you really want a good deal on a plastic part.....well, you know what to do.:boink:

    - Advocacy of non-OEM money saving purchases to save for when OEM is required

So glad to hear you are not going to cheap-out with fake stuff. That price actually sounds pretty good.

Ya cant justify it. Setting bad precedence with Chinese companies and the crap they peddle. We still overpay for stuff anyways like the Pro itself so I mean I see the point on the cheap plastic and all but again its just the principle but to each their own.

Interesting dichotomy. You either over pay and are gouged by the Japanese or you take advantage of the enterprising Chinese that actually make the product who are under cutting their neighbor offering the exact same product at a fraction of the price. I know for me the answer would be easy that I go with whoever it is that is going to leave the most money in my pocket.

Quicksand with hood protector, color matching decals on tailgate latch, mudflaps, glovebox, and tailgate hitch cover.
I googled it, and of course, came up with many various prices. But Amazon has sellers selling it for $340, with free shipping. Of course, i came up with good ole Madhornets, which sells the aftermarket one, now for only $79! I know people on here debate whether to go OEM or not, but man, to save almost $300, i would go with madhornets. Here is the link to that, just so you can look at it and ask yourself again, if it is really worth it to go OEM.

Save $300 because that's dinner and drinks every night for a month at Applebee's. The wife will approve

I don't have a Pro because I could not justify the price. I do not have an OEM grill because I could also not justify the price. I still wanted that style grill but the only option was a copy. @MESO won't sell me his awesome new version (yet) assuming it becomes a product offered. If fact, if he sends me one of those I'll gladly destroy my knock-off by running it over.....twice.

it's really too bad it's not a factory option like tires choices and other add-ons. then they can hide the $300 markup.

Could be molded in Canada, but it is undoubtedly made with Chinese plastic. That stuff creates so much pollution that it has to be made in a 3rd world country that doesn't care. Really doesn't change the fact that the Japanese are making a killing off them. 40 years ago we would be bashing the Japanese in the same way we bash the Chinese.

I also don't buy fake stuff.

We've seen some winners on here, letters falling off, LED lights wire wrong.

What makes it fake? It isn't as if Toyota actually manufactures them and them marking it up 10,000% has nothing to do with quality. It is simply plastic. I could understand if you were looking at pistons or transmission internals, but this is purely decorative.

The sudden OEM loyalty makes me laugh.
Especially when you have to give dealers a Pro vin to get one.. they don’t want you to have OEM.

Until the letters fall off. It's not like i'm buying a Pro grill anyways. Would you buy Pro Wing shoes? because I hear they're made in the same sweat shops as Nike, Under Armor, etc.
