4 local gun shops and not a one has any 8mm Mauser ammo. I found .303 Brit, 6.5 Swede, 7mm Mauser, but no danged 8mm. 2 more shops left in town to check before I order online.

I believe ya, some of the most upstanding folks I've met have been through wheeling and wrenching. Started with Cruisers but the first gen taco demograph is awesome dudes too. I wouldn't have believed there were so many cool yound kids man, like the young adults, early 20s types. There's a bunch of freaking studs here on TW in that age group. Toyota folk in general are a bunch of good eggs

 

I normally roll my own. But now that I have two rifles chambered in it, all my ammo was sized for one guns chamber. Will not load into my new K98. So I need some ammo to blast with next weekend so I can use the brass.

But to answer your question, I use IMR 4064. 44 grains with a 200 grain Nosler HPBT bullet.

I never had goodluck with IMR.

RL and Vihtavouri (expensive) are my primary go to, especially for my bigger calibers.

RL is a little harder to be consistent with though being a double base; if SD's aren't the biggest priority then I'll go with it since it's cheaper. If it's competition, I'll go with V.

I can use IMR 4064 in every gun I shoot, even my AR's. Milsurps especially love it, its my go to for the garand's match loads.

I did switch to Hodgdon Benchmark for my 5.56 guns though. No real reason, just to switch it up. And they like it so I kept buying it. RL15 is fine too, as is Varget and W748.

Varget was even worse for me.

RL15 is my go to especially for AR's, and hell even slightly bigger calibers like .308

I love H1000 though.
