does anyone know if the 08 2.7 has a LSD or posi-lock, i was going through my field the other day and i stopped and when i started back my tire slipped and it felt like it grabbed, cause i saw 2 bare spots where both spinned

Look at the rear diff. You should see a sticker that says " LSD oil only" or something to that affect. FWIW, not many 4 bangers come with the LS diff, and in a field its easy to spin both tires with an open diff. ALso, with an open diff on the Tacomas, when you turn to the left while spinning, both tires will more easilly spin. When you turn to the right, only one tire will spin. :)

Not really, unless you want to do your own custom fab work, and put a posi from some other vehicle on there.

Drop the Third member, clean really good with some brake cleaner, let dry, weld all the spider gears, clean all the welding splatter out, clean with some brake cleaner, put everything back together, add oil.
    Now you are Locked! :D
Cost: about $100.00 if you have a welder. Slightly higher if you have to go buy one.
