Ive got a milwaukee heated handwarmer. Picked it up this season for $77. Came with a battery, charger, flashlight and a usb power source. I think its great. It gets warm and the battery last a while even with charging my phone. Also works with my m12 power tools

Same ole deer for over a week now . Few spikes ,couple 4 pointers and 5-6 doe . I got coated with freezing rain ,sleet and snow today . My bolt was frozen to the Xbow rail so I left at 1030

 

I know man ,this is a tough decision it is peak rut here now and tomorrow AM it’s going to be be 14 degrees with a 10 mph breeze I’m going to give it a shot . I will be in my tree not later than 5:45 . Civil dawn is 6:11 .Too cold to get there earlier Real feel 2*

Had a great afternoon of hunting. Went to my favorite spot between the swamp and the thicket. As usual in there, within 20 minutes deer were coming in. The first 2 customers were a doe being chased by a grunting 6pt. Then a few other deer about 80 yards away. Then a few more. Then a lone doe. Then, around 4:20ish, several deer came in. I could see 2 or 3 of them and I could hear chasing. Finally had two does come over to about 35 yards. They were steadily crunching acorns. A 120" 8pt. came over to them and made 4 scrapes in the frozen swamp. Then another smaller buck came in and the 8pt. snort-wheezed at him and chased him off. I've heard that several times but it's always cool to hear it again. The does set up camp by me, they stayed within 35-40 yards until dark. I finally howled like a coyote (as best I could) to run them off.
No big deer but damn it was fun.

I seen 4 does, 2 spikes, and the nice 8 that I’ve passed 3 times so far. Pulled camera cards only to realize that we fucked up by sleeping in this morning. There was lots of buck activity this morning including the 2 I’m after.

 

15 degrees here with a feels like temp of 2.

 

Just not the greatest year for bow in the Northern states. My Step Dad, Brother, and I all didn't take a buck. We saw them though, just nothing in within range. Had a massive 8 point (at least 150 pounds) within 60 yards, but he would not come out of cover. I was too damn cold to shoot anyway.

 

I’ve seen a decent amount of deer. It’s just been so inconsistent. Took forever for us to have scrapes and rubs show up. We have trail cam pics of nice bucks in the area but all we see are young ones.
