what is that all about?

The office of the ombudsman is there to act as the speaker for the people within a cabinet or organization. Not necessarily due to maladministration

 

I was thinking about making a sensor kit with a nice little OLED screen to mount onto the dash. Anyone got any ideas of missing information on the 1st gens? So far I was thinking battery voltage, transmission temp, maybe brake temps? Not sure what else. I could tap into OBDII but I feel like everyone already has that information on hand if they want it.

 

Thanks. I think I’m going to switch away from using the oil based paint and HVLP simply because it’s too messy. The rattle cans turn into a powder I can sweep up. The oil based paint sticks to anything and everything.

 

including my arms from the oil primer drip off the foam brushes that my long sleeve shirt and gloves did not catch
gloves were getting all sticky and that with continuous primer drip drip drip while painting nearly upside down

Sure but something that looks a lot better aesthetically, and fits in a place that doesn't look out of place. I never like having stuff attached to the windshield or just stuck onto the dash in weird places.

Also I was more thinking of doing something that the truck doesn't already have sensors for. Like those TPMS tire sensors but using my own graphical interface so I don't need dozens of little cheap LCD screens all over the truck.

 

I've had this idea a few times but when accessing information that's proprietary it's ultimately too hard to market. The UG and DG can show trans temps on vehicles that support it and if they don't support it you must physically add a sensor then essentially program the temp curve of that sensor in your interface. I've done that for ECUs but I'm not so sure it would be more than a one off if you wanted to make it for the Taco. I prefer physical gauges usually so I'm installing a police center console with room for gauges and such.
