Where can I find u bolts for a 98 taco for the rear leaf spring. Homedepot and lowes don't have them. Advanced and auto have the wrong size. And the dealer wants $50 each. Seems high. I ordered some at Napa, they come today, but they were based upon measurements we took at Napa. Amazon has been 0 luck as well as everything is too long before the thread starts.

I haven't checked a leaf spring shop. No idea where one would be. I'll do some googling

Jesus christ, please don't get critical suspension parts for your truck from Home Depot OR Amazon!

Wheeler's Offroad has them. Plenty of other places will have them too. Just go to either an off-road/suspension or truck/Toyota specialist retailer.

If the u-bolts in this pic are your biggest concern....

Those extra clamps in all likelihood directly contributed to the failure of the leafs (in multiple places) because they prevented the leafs from sliding against each other. Doesn't really matter if they were the highest quality 4x4 specific design, if implemented poorly (as in this case), you're even more screwed than just getting bolts from home depot.

some of those frame holes were done with my own hammer at the salvage lot

the extra ubolts could be why the perches were probably ripped apart violently while on the road, I bet it was a bumpy ride at the end of it all

I've gotten some made a local semi truck repair shop before. They were a little long but was able to cut them to length.

We all live and learn .

Any of the places one buys your springs from should have them . I just get them with the springs .

Like was said any spring shop can make them if they feel so inclined .

Got some. A random local leaf spring shop for semi trucks made them for ........18$ each. Granted they were grade 5 and coated to not rust. Still expensive. Update I think my old leafs were twisted , 224k, since the new ones moved the rear axle back to where it should be. Now I'm waiting for the alginment shop to get everything square. Thrust angels........
