10a to 4p delivery window, so of course UPS shows up at 6p... Sleeting and cold af, (and of course I had shorts on), so the driver wants to stand in my open garage and chat about motorcycles...

The competition cart is on backorder, but I can slap it together on the regular legs and wheels. When it warms up.

I would have put on insulated coveralls and a ski mask and put it together as soon as it arrived! And then done a burn in. ;)

Patience, grasshopper. I enjoyed talking to the guy that bought my Weber; not the usual weird CL buyer that shows up wanting to pay less and get more than the ad mentions. The guy actually said he had just stopped at an ATM, and only had $20 bills. He handed me $280 for $275 purchase, and said he didn't need change, because I was already including a lot of stuff for the cost. Restored my faith in humanity, if just for a little while.

and yes, I did give him back the extra $5...

Sometimes people are good people and I usually can get the vibe pretty quick. Some I want to ask did you eat lead paint chips by the handful??

    Baking Powder!!!! crisp for days!

wait... how am I supposed to grow my collection now!? :D Figured it'd go quick.

that's a broad stroke of the brush!

also, after seeing the Rec Tec in person last night, same as you just got @jmdaniel ... you need a @Bigdaddy4760 lift kit! Not sure if the comp cart raises it any but man is that cooking surface and shelf looooow. Toss some Big Daddy lift on it and then you'll be rocking! Super nice pit in person though. Looking forward to your results and cooks!

last batch I did on the weber with vortex. Toss the wings with a couple tbsps of baking powder pre seasoning (about a tbsp per dozen). they will coat nicely. Let them rest for a bit then season and cook as normal. does not effect flavor but drys the skin really well and makes them super crispy. works for any skin' turkey, chicken, human... well... maybe...:D

I've been trying to meet with this local TW member that was selling me his rear fender flares but our schedules were complicated. He finally texted me yesterday last minute saying he can drop them off at my work. I told him he can but I didnt have cash and I can pay by venmo or zelle. He said paypal is fine. So I've never met this guy, he came to my work, dropped off the fenders. I wrote down his email and told him i'll send the paypal as soon as i can.

So yup, he gave me his fenders and left without any payment. I mean it was only $20 but he still trusted a complete stranger to pay him after he left.

Yes i sent the paypal right away. There's still good people out there
