So, Rockshox Boxxer front fork means it’s a 27.5er. It has Dave’s Extra Legitimate Travel Apperatus.

    I’m guessing Evil Insurgent?

Close! Its a 29er Wreckoning, 160mm/rear 180mm/front travel - rides better than any DH bike I've had though. I do have an Insurgent too as my daily driver

Both great bikes. Had a GF Rig as my first SS bike. Loved it. Should've kept it. And the BMC fourstroke is a blast to ride. Demo'd some out at Fruita a couple years ago.

Just run over to Kedron and hit up the guys at the Trek shop or the Specialized shop in Senoia. Give me a shout if you need anything.

Oh hey what's up! I didn't know you were in here. I actually just swung by the Trek shop in Peatchtree City and the guy slammed me with all the info I need about the entry level options there. Looks like the Roscoe (like someone mentioned earlier here) would be a good not-so-expensive bike that I wouldn't outgrow quickly. I'll keep looking and reading around and maybe pick that one up eventually.

Yup. Tacos are great and all, but my preferred mode of trail travel is on two feet or two wheels.

Yea the guys and gals over there are good people. I’ve bought a few bikes from them. The new store they open on the square in Newnan is only a few miles from my house so that’s the crew I shop/deal with now. Most of the guys there I already know since they just moved over from the Kedron shop.

The Roscoe is definitely a great starting point. Hit me up when you pick something up. I ride at Cochran Mill Park about every other Sunday.

While on the subject, can I ask: If you guys had to choose between the Trek Roscoe 7 and 2020 Specialized Fuse 27.5+ which would you rather?

At the price point (like $9 difference) both seem similarly spec however the Fuse is 148 Boost compared to 141... and the Trek has 12spd vs Fuse 10spd.

I've heard some dang good things about the Wreckoning, and I've been avoiding one every time I pass through Fruita and they have a fleet for demo.

That’s a tough one. The fuse is more upgradeable in my opinion with the 12x148 rear hub. It’s easy to slap that Sx eagle drivetrain onto the fuse. Not so easy to drop some new wheels onto the roscoe, at least as far as i know.

I have a lot of disdain for Specialized, but these are some good points.

Yeah I’m not a huge fan...and I’ve got 3 treks right now so it’s going against my typical judgement recommending specialized haha

Sometimes you’ve gotta give in to the big names haha. Ideally my next bike is not a big name but who knows what deal I’ll find haha

I'm debating on whether or not to get a new bike to replace the 2016 Bronson I have for no actual reason. Really looking for an interesting off brand like Orange or BTR, but IDK.
