On my way into work this morning, a Wrangler with no cover flew by on the highway. Mind you it's 32 degrees today... He was all bundled up with some coffee and was clearly enjoying himself.
Anyone else witness some interesting Jeep qualities?

First off you know that Jeep don't have a heater like a Toyota, nothing has heat like a Toyota......

The man I work with out here in the shop has a Jeep, been broke down for close to a year. He won't pay anybody to fix it so he bought a motorcycle until he can figure it out. He's been riding to work 20 miles one way in the sun, rain, whatever. It was 20 degrees this morning and he rode it in. Jeep people are...............different.

That's wild. I had a buddy in Oklahoma who did the same thing, our friends finally put an end to it when he tried to come in to work on his motorcycle during a snow storm.

A friend couldn't defrost the front windscreen, so he would just fold it down and continue on his way. 30 to 40 degree mornings.o_O

Put $30k in parts on it just to keep it mirror shined.

Ever count on one as the only means of transportation. I maintain that a Jeep makes a great second ride, but a terrible only ride.

Anyone know what those triangular tabs are on the rear side windows of a Jeep hard top?

I HAD one once as a second vehicle/toy. It was bone stock from the original owner when I bought it. 1974 CJ5. I put a Chevrolet 350 in it, SM465 4 speed hooked to a NP205 transfer case connected to full width 3/4 ton axles on 35" tires. I cut the entire Jeep right through the floorpans and stretched it a foot to fit the transmission/transfer case in. Put a bench seat out of an S10 in the front. I couldn't put a top on it and it wasn't fun in the winter, sucked in the rain/hot days so I sold it. I don't miss it at all and hope to never own another one.

@Yota03DC was it even a Jeep anymore? Sounds like you turned it into a Chevy!

Luckily in N.C. they title vehicles by the body. The body and frame were all that were Jeep, the rest was Chevy.

No way in hell would I ever rely on a Jeep as a daily.....

    That's the definition of insanity.

I had a 98 TJ 4 cyl AT back in like 2000. It was a DOG but it was amazingly awesome. Especially since I was like 19 at the time. I don't care for the new Jeeps but if they were still like this I'd have one. Totaled it when I got T-boned on the highway and walked away with only a slight concussion.
