Been driving around at night with these more. I live in a very rural area, and no street lights anywhere. I can't see much if anything when backing up with these in that situation.

When I drove into town and more populated areas, they worked great and I could see enough to be comfortable but wasn't blinded by anything.

Still super happy with these and don't regret at all. Just want to give honest feedback for people.

Hi Bridge 4, how was the install if I may ask, was it easy to pop off the stock mirrors? I know this has been mentioned prior in the thread, but any tips and tricks would help.

I would read what I have written on my instal, and OP's. My wiring was a little different from his and it slowed my install down trying to figure it out, I'm bad with electrical so I took extra time.

Besides the wiring, it was easy to get the other stuff off. It can be hard to pop things off and pry at a new truck, but it was made for it and will be okay. If you use the mirror motor in the truck to point the mirror up into the outter corner and then pull it from the bottom up towards that corner it seems to help get the mirror off. The plastic, I'd get a trim removal or flat head screw drive into a corner and get it loose, then start pulling it off. You will hear a few pops probably, especially if its the first time.

Over all though, it wasn't bad, the new ones went on pretty smoothly, and OPs installation post helped me visualize what I was doing before hand so I had an idea what to expect.

    Good luck!

Yeah I'm trying to look around for that other thread that I had found before regarding removing the mirror itself and that's what I used. There was a YouTube video. And then I know there's also videos out there regarding installing Mesos turn signals and that's how I was able to remove the mirror housing cover. I've actually popped those covers off a few times for the turn signal installs, the puddle light installs, and to Plasti Dip the housing covers in the past.

I learned from the meso turn signal instal as well. Looks harder than it is.

Thanks gents, I have trim pry tools and the tip to move the mirrors upwards before attempting the removal is a good one. So basically, move the mirrors up, remove the mirror housing covers, and then pry them out from the bottom and out, but don't yank with to much force? I'm just worried I may snap of the wire connections if I use to much force. Would it be worth the effort to move the mirrors to the most downward position with the housings removed, then try and remove the wiring and then move them up and then pry them off?

There is some extra wire in there, I don't think you'd do that. I would check out a youtube video if you do a search there should be a "how to remove" for the caps. Or one of the meso installation videos. The plastic on the rear has nothing attached to it. The mirror it's self has some, but again, you have a few inches to work with and unless you were extremely violent in your actions popping the glass off, you will be okay.

I've had mine for a while now. It has been mentioned before, but there is a learning curve, because the objects in the mirrors are MUCH closer than they appear.

I'm still undecided on the blue tint. I might have preferred an amber color, I dunno. Although, last night I was heading home with the sun setting behind me, and I appreciated having the tint to reduce the blinding light from the driver's side mirror.

Heaters seem to work OK. Only used them once though.

Just installed. They are awesome! Install time start to finish was about 20ish minutes. For me personally I don’t feel it will be a learning curve for the wide angle. I’ve always angled my mirrors out for better blind spot visual but goodness, I can see a lot now! Love the turn arrows too. Cramping all the connectors in there was a little time because I have Meso limited edition turns so I have a whole wiring harness in there but it all fit after a little meticulous tucking.
I think the longest part was getting the mirrors snapped in, maybe it was me being too gentle for them to snap in but they went in after a few tries.
    I’m a fan

Mine says delivery date for today, but tracking hasn't shown it has arrived at the PO distribution center. I have a feeling I may have to wait an additional day.

Got mine today and installed, took it for a test drive and they work awesome. Car in the adjacent lane was in full view and when it pulled up closer to my driver side where the nose was, I could still see the rest of the body of the car.

I noticed the OEM driver's side mirror had 2 clips that were on them, are these supposed to transferred to the Suma mirror? They look like they would not come off without snapping them off.

The only thing I'm afraid of is if I didn't snap everything in place and they fall out of the housings. I triple checked so hopefully all is well.

Edit: I noticed the Sumas do not have the provisions to add the factory clips so I should be good to. They did not fall off while while driving so I assume they are mounted properly. When backing into my driveway I did notice there was a little bit of a transition to get used to them but I think after a few days of driving I should be good with these mirrors. I would highly recommend them. Thanks OP. I kind of regretted not getting a TRD model but I have noticed I can do the upgrades myself to bring my truck to the drivability and usability that I feel would be best for me. Cost savings compared to what I may have had to get an upgraded TRD model makes me not regret how much a factory updgrade may have cost. I find my SR model can do what I want without the dealer markups. Next project, Nittori's fog light mod.

I tried swapping over those clips too but like you said there's no way to do it. However, I have not had any issues by not having them on the mirror. Key is to make sure all the other 4 plastic contact points snap into place.

Hoping you guys interested in the mirrors take advantage of the Black Friday sale. I'm still just happy that these mirrors came to market brought by Suma Performance after my recommendation to make this for the Tacoma. They make me smile every time I drive my Tacoma and my Civic Type R. The extra turn signal and the wide angle make these so useful.

Maybe some of you guys can pass the word around to the 2nd Gen guys/gals about the mirrors as I never posted about them in those forums.
