When I deployed to Qatar, there was rumor of this E4 that was making "bank" selling herself there, the Commander called her into his office and told her to cut off her stripes cuz she was demoted. She says "you cant do that!" needless to say she cut off her stripes and was sent on the next plane home. Prob got a general discharge or whatever, and a wad of cash...

Tale as old as time. Had it happen in Desert Storm, Southern Watch, Phoenix Scorpion, and 3 OIF/OEF trips. The base commanders always make a point to make it public, like "we don't tolerate prostitution!" and simply crucify the girl. It's never the pretty ones, either. The ones in Saudi couldn't get a second glance stateside. Not a word about the guys who GAVE her that money. As far as we all knew, they weren't punished.

My last trip though in 2009 they took a different tactic and crucified all of the customers. Apparently, that one took notes and could read name tags. A shitload of junior enlisted maintainers (and two officer flight crew) went hasta-la-bye-bye from the AOR. That made a massive impact.

Little different and worse when it’s a soldier selling her/himself too though. But again, almost every major deployment has one on any decent sized fob that gets busted for it. The locals working on the fob is far more common, those tend to be more rumors though.

Different story but There was one gal who was clearly a 2 stateside and she was going room to room one night, finally got to the end where one Airman "fell in love" with her....after the train...ended up marrying her and having a couple kids...her sister was actually decent looking but she was not. but whatever love finds its way I guess.

 

That was my point earlier... from a legal standpoint, not sure there is anything that she did that command could use against her. Only the guys distributing/spreading it around.

It wouldn't be difficult for an attorney to prove damage to the image of the USMC from her participation. she's done yo.

 

Again, not a public website, or with anyone at the unit. Decent jag lawyer and she has grounds to argue that said dishonor to service was the result of others and not her

 

Does she advertise herself as a marine in any way, or do others? I think that's where the "rub" lies.
