Anyone using the Fossil Smartwatch gen 4 or 5? I'm considering getting one, but don't know anyone who has one.

I got an automatic Stuhrling off a Groupon deal & the rotor snapped off within 6 months. They're disposable watches, I'd be happy if I got a year out of one for the price. Honestly I'd just get a used, name brand watch like Seiko if I needed something like you.

    None so far
Get a Seiko, can usually find them pretty cheap on Ebay. I recommend a skx007 or skx009

I agree with the Seiko advice, many different different styles. You might give Long Island watch company a look, they seem to carry a large selection of Seiko’s.

This aquaracer was found at the bottom of a pool while I worked at the YMCA in membership about 8 years ago. I had a member turn it in so I put it in our cash safe for about a year hoping someone would come looking for it. At the end of the year I cleaned out the lost and found and this became mine. It's nice to have a knockaround TAG

I’m waiting for some poor bastard desperates for Black Friday cash and put one of these up for sale. I can’t never afford one new even with all the incentives on Black Friday.

4 watches, 2 hours of soaking in a light solution of dish soap. Will leave them overnight & hit with an old toothbrush in the morning. This always makes me wonder why I don't remember to clean them more often :puke:

    Tissot t-touch Take 2
I found the tissot t-touch in a sky mall magazine on a flight to Russia in 2003. As a fan of ABC (altitude barometer compass) watches this touch screen watch caught my eye. The idea of touch screen was very new at the time and so I pointed it out to my mom. Fast forward a year later and she had found a legitimate used model on EBay. This was her gift to me along with the title to my GMC pickup for my 21st. I had many issues with the t-touch over the years with the buttons losing action and the touch screen losing its sensitivity. I sent it for repair twice under warranty then it sat for 5 years until my 35th bday. About a year ago she offered to get me another nice watch. I instead took the original to a fine watch shop in Denver. Turns out tissot had been unable to continue producing parts for the original t-touch. They had an upgrade program and they offered to upgrade to the new model for the price of 100 bucks. It is a larger case than the original but has all the same functions. And they were able to get a v2 in the silver face like my v1. This watch while not the original I received seems to have been a better timepiece than the original v1 ever was. I cant recommend a tissot to anyone based on my experience with the v1 but I could be swayed the other way soon if this model is better. The upgrade program was a solid option unless you are sentimental about it.
