3.4L supercharger

Yea, it got to a point where is was frequent on short drives through town. I ruled out my bearings because I was on a fresh rebuild with new coated rotors and all. Pulled my pcv and vent hoses and sure enough there was a good amount of fresh-ish oil buildup inside. Im also running a catch can between my PCV and throttle body.

Since adding the mini filter and plugging the case vent in the intake I cant say Ive noticed the noises since. Might just have placebo ears though

 

Get a can of brake fluid cleaner, spray it off then monitor it?

 

Im familiar with a catch can. Im not really sure what you’re referring to by the vent and plugging the case. Any pics?

I think I understand now. Plugged the PVC intake on the S/C and you’re venting atmosphere.

It may be different for some trucks. But im referring to this connection to the intake. The stock hose runs behind the supercharger to the driver side valve cover.


This is the filter I put on the drivers valve cover vent im referring to.

 

what PSI radiator cap are you running on your stock radiator? I have a 0.9. Is that stock? Mine is aftermarket so I can’t tell. Just wondering. I have a TRD 1.3 on standby but hesitating because I don’t want to not leave well enough alone. Blow some hose or whatever.

 

Cool, thanks. I’ll have to put my eyes on it. I did pull that hose from the intake and it seemed dry so I’ll take another look.

Got a $20.00 oil catch can on order and I’m going to replace the PVC with OEM.

That's a nice looking pod setup...does it get rid of the grab handle though? I couldn't get rid of mine, I use it too much when offroading. I would probably grab the gauge pod by mistake and pull it off

 

I use mine when I’m just chilling burning gas.

Very nice very nice. I haven't started hooking mine up yet. Been to busy painting the interior of my house. For a guy with one prosthetic leg and a partially paralyzed left hand. It's been a long project. Almost done.
