I am trying to isolate this problem my 05 access cab v6 6speed is having bad vibrations when decelerating once i let off the gas when i get under 30mph it gets bad untill i stop and it also has a clicking sound and i can feel vibrations through the shifter only. the vibrations make the inside cab creak they are starting to get that bad. this just started last thursday

Im thinking possible u joint issues.
    Possible trans issue.

anyone out there have any similar issues. btw the truck has 159k on it and this is the first problem i have had in my 2 years of ownership.

I'm not sure what it is, but I would suggest changing the transmission oil and see what happens. But it kinda sounds like it is internal, something wrong inside the trans.

I had one side of a u-joint go out on a old truck, I heard a fate clicking when letting off the gas. The u-joint looked good on the outside, I got it apart and sure enough one of the ends was completely dry. The clicking was the needle bearings moving with no grease. Try tapping the u joint ends lightly with a hammer to see if they move any or rusty dust comes out, or just grab the drive shaft and move it.

Before you start just throwing parts at it, get it diagnosed first. I lost a weight on my drive shaft on my Dodge Ram, did'nt realize it until I changed just about every rotating part.

Sounds like what my first gen did. I didn't have the clicking though. Vibrations are a pain to diagnose, lots of possible causes.

If I remember correctly, that black shield should be connected to the front yoke...
