    Since I was tired of having to look up the lug nut torque every time I rotated tires, ended up writing it on the wheel, beneath where the cap sits. Yes I have steelies, probably shouldn’t do this on a more expensive wheel.

    What kind of MT fluid is everyone using? I was all set to buy redline mt90 on Amazon but read reviews that stated it made the truck much harder to shift in cold weather, which is no bueno for me. Needing gl4 or gl3 as opposed to gl5 is sort of limiting.

    So. The oem transfer case oil, Toyota 08885-81080, is no longer available?

    Toyotapartsdeals.com looks like they have it ( I could put it in the cart anyway), but the "official" Toyota parts site that dealer links forward you to says "no longer available for purchase".

    Contacted Red Line Synthetic Oil yesterday, and they recommended their MT-LV type gear oil. So I'll be going with their 50604 at a more reasonable $18/qt*.

    Yeah, I know, oil is like beer in that everyone has their own preferences. Just saying that Toyota's prescribed oil was apparently not available (I could be wrong) and this is what was recommended by Red Line and what I'll be using.

    * - actual cost was $24/qt. with shipping from Redline360.com
