I’m not sure if I might have clicked a button or moved something I have not realized but I’ve been asking other Tacoma owners what their gas mileage is when they fill up,most tell me they get around 360-380 and I’m only getting 260-280 max

Is that what the readout says or did you actually fill up, record mileage, drive it a few hundred miles, fill up again and do some simple math to determine your real mpg?

Also, if you do mostly city driving 280 is not bad.

    I'm in the 360-380 group.
And your either SOL, or a defective gauge. Or maybe something else instead.

    Good luck with that

    Oh and BTW..

You do know that you have 2 to 2-1/2 gal left in the tank when it says zero miles left, the tank is +21gal if you fill up and only put in 17 your light.
i get 17.5 to 19 mpg . short trips around town (work is close) 15 miles total if i drive hard i get 16 or so/highway and nice 21

No the truck shows me all the time. i stopped checking it as it is only off by .05 to .3 mpg so 5 miles max a tank at most/so close enough

Welcome to Tacomaworld...to get useful responses please share info about your truck, mods, and driving conditions (city/highway/off-road) for an average tank. I recommend signing up for an account at fuelly.com and entering a few tanks to get a sense of your truck’s base performance.

There are already a lot of threads here on fuel economy, so use the search tool or use google plus a few keywords and “tacomaworld” to learn what people have already shared.

18.4 mpg when corrected for larger 265 75 16s, over 4500 miles. Id guess city driving is 75 %Screenshot_20191113-223534_FillUp.jpg

I always question those who "get 20+".

I did once in my first Tacoma, but only on hiway with little Mickey Mouse tires.

I too am a city slicker, and would do cartwheels if I ever reached 16mpg. Specially with this California prices.

Do you mind sharing what app you are using there?
Why? There’s a lot of data demonstrating that it’s a real thing for a lot of owners.

    Boosted Money Pit....
Load C is the key in that response. the E rated tires are the killer if MPG is a big concern for folks.

OK, let's hear your questions.

I consistently get 20+ MPG per tank, and have got 26 MPG on a road trip.

It is doable, depending on your driving style and mods you may have done, example tires, racks, etc.
