So I think I got the ski lift job? They need more people and said they weren't weeding anyone out at the interviews. I honestly didn't do great on some little mulitasker test they gave. I'm generally good at multi tasking, but deff dropped the ball. Oh well, sounds like it didn't matter and I did well enough in the "can he breath? can he talk to someone without getting in a fight or causing problems" tests.

We get to pick when we want to work as well, it sounds like trying to force people to work days they don't want to has backfired in the past for them and so they just ask when you can and then want you to stick to what you tell them. I am going to aim for Mon-Wed day shift, figure I can grab some runs after when most people aren't really skiing.

Do you need a new headlight? I have a set I'll sell you cheap. You would want the set because they are a blacked out aftermarket set.

I still haven't found that spec on the bearing life anywhere. Source?

I found one for Ingersoll Rand's different types of lube.

    That sounds dirty.

That's all I've found too. N hours/years with full synthetic lube, or n hours/years if you use a petroleum product. I don't doubt Jack, but it sounds like he's found more detailed information on the compressors than I've been able to dig up, and I'd like to see what else I've missed (if anything) when comparing the two.

I found a few contradictions between the sources I had found. I would not be to concerned anymore in hindsight... i think the real question is do you need that much CFM? At 14.8 CFM @90 I can run sandblasters, impacts, hplv and standard spray guns with ease at 720 otd from TSC. If I were spending a 1000 i would look into the v cylinder design for only 200 more you get a much quieter machine.

FYI I broke my compressor in last night the thing is beastly but pretty loud.. If I had extra cash I would 1000% do a Vstyle compressor.

    Whats happening?!

Might be able to ice some fish this weekend! High mountain ponds under 5 acres I'm crossing my fingers. I'll try not to do any swimming this year.

I did find a pump life expectancy finally listed somewhere, and it actually looks like the twin piston model is slightly louder:

The new screw type compressors are much quieter!

Just the talk about compressors! How much they blow, how hard they blow, how long they will blow for, etc.
