Prepare for the Santa Cruz El Camino edition white knights whining about the toxic masculinity in the criticisms. "You hurt my feels."

Seems to make good business sense on Hyundai's part as they have a strong following for their vehicles. They seem to hold up and aren't bad looking, especially their Santa-Fe SUV.

I don't expect them to put the Tacoma out of business, our even make much of an impact on Tacoma sales.

Hyundai and Kia change and add model names constantly. Is there some kind of record for this?

    Oh and that thing ugry.

    Isn't that a concept from 2015?

It's like saying the next Taco will look like the Toyota A-Bat concept
    [IMG]

Hyundai has said they want a rugged looking truck. I assume there will be styling cues from the Palisade.

Good for them. Not everyone needs a truck for off road purposes. Looks like it’ll handle loads of mulch just fine and it’ll probably get decent mpg’s.

This is a little confusing. In the states, a "bad boy" is something to be admired or desired. Sorta like saying, "that's sick, man". In slang heavy areas we tend to use contradictions. Also in a lot of parts of the country, it will take 10 minutes of conversation to drill down into the point of the conversation. Very inefficient. It may be by design to avoid conflict or just people camouflaging their ineptitude.

Disgusting, this Hyundai will probably attract potential Ranger buyers, and people who don't want to pay Honda prices for a truck that isn't a truck. Hyundai is already trying to sell the car buying public five different SUVs. What's one more?

If the ridgeline got appreciable better gas mileage, I’d have considered it more strongly and same goes for this truck. Like others have said, not everyone needs a body on frame truck- but I went that route because the unibody option didn’t get that much better mileage EPA, and based on my research not a lot of folks even get that. I like the truck competition- though I wish it seemed to impact prices!

I agree. But, in this case I would go with sumtin' like this, "I would get this bad boy over the Ridgeline any day." With wotevah emoticon fits. And hope the audience gets it. Sorta like my attempt to derail. Alas, I am no Dave Chappelle and have to have a day job.

    That's not a f'n truck. It's a crossover with an open-air trunk.
