I set my shock at full extension then made the bump to protect them from full compression. I still had to extend the wheelers bumps a bit. Can't remember how much.

I think I need to shorten mine. After some real world use I put zip ties on the shocks to see how much actual shock travel I am using by seeing where the zip tie ends up. Currently I see the zip tie resting on the rubber shock bump on the drivers side and about a 1/2” from hitting the rubber bump on the passenger side. My biggest fear has been bottoming the shock out but I think I’d like to remove 1/2” from the left side bump stop and 1” from the right side bump stop. Going negative is less of a concern for me.

Is that with flexing, or hard bottom outs?

You'll never use all the travel if all you're doing is flexing (and shocks were setup properly).

Both, it was for the entire trip of 4 days in NH. Bombing rocky roads, flexing, etc. And since I was basically almost on my bumps the entire time because my pack can't handle my weight, it was a pretty good test as far as I could tell anyway.

What spring rate are you using on your coilovers?

I haven't compressed mine all the way yet either. I'm waiting until the truck see air and completely bottoms out both springs before I make any adjustments.

Well in that case, and given you don't care about negative arch - shorten the bump stops.

    650

    I wouldn't go to 700s on a 1st gen.

Yeah, I’m trying to find someone local that will trade before I buy another set. But haven’t had any luck yet

How were you so heavy up front? Did you add a front skid recently??

And yeah there is likely some over lap. Not sure what that would be exactly honestly. If you're actually at 2700 front Id want 650s though. Do your icons have 600s now? Hows your preload look?
