Final VIN #??

Question??, Got a Vin # from Dealer, Build date is 11/23/2019. Is this the VIN # , does the VIN chang or stay the same??

The vin# is federal property it’s not part of the parts list from Toyota so yeah technically it can change. What you want is the MCO to keep tabs on that particular vehicle.

 

I was Curious if it was a "Temporary" VIN, until final build??

The way I understand it, VIN provided at time of allocation is a temp. Actual VIN is assigned at time of production. Look at the last six digits, if they're not all numerical, it's a temp VIN.

 

This is my understanding too. When I ordered my truck, they gave me a temporary VIN. Once the truck was in production, I received the actual VIN. The difference was the last 6 digits.

 

A VIN number is not a thing. It’s just a VIN. Otherwise you’re saying vehicle identification number number.
