I have 205/15s on my utility trailer, but I don't take that one off-road. I though we were discussing off-road stuff... :p

Now if I were to ever do a camping/cooking setup, I'd do it like that! Something I can hook and unhook whenever I needed it, not all bolted to my truck 24/7!

In that case, change your hubs and get matching wheels/tires.

It is a queen size bed.

    I'm 6'2", wife is 6'0" - we fit fine.

It is nice to not have to put away a wet tent in the morning.

I found a custom made trailer I wanted for 8500, but the mattress was 75” long. Being that I am 6’2 that would be tight.
If your near your trailer, snap a measurement for me.
Was really cool though. I am still going to look at it, if I fit it may come home.

Love those rigs. Is that price point the norm for those tear drop style trailers? Specifically like the one @Scott B. has.

Ours is about 75" long (maybe 76") - I can check it tonight.

My feet sometimes touch the wall - not in a cramped way, rather they are just next to it. Really not a problem.

You can always sleep on a slight angle to resolve that issue, if it is a problem.

I am not sure what he paid. They run the gambit price wise. I have been looking at a few models now.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it! It’s a pretty good drive.
Do you mind telling us what those Teardrops like yours go for price wise.

I have been looking at the Oregon Trailer.
Then I found this custom one you see. Doesn’t have the most fancy kitchen.
But it does have other things that are nice.

You can spend $5,000 to $20,000+, depending on the manufacturer and how you outfit it.

Between the initial purchase of the trailer, and all the outfitting I've done, I am closer to the high end.

But, it is completely worth it to us.

My teardrop was built by Little Guy.

Unfortunately, currently they are not building trailers of this size. They still own the name, so the plan is to continue production some time in the future.

There is a company call nuCamp (which split from Little Guy.) They were the actual manufacturer of the trailer. At the moment, they also do not have a trailer of this size - only bigger.

Anyone who is interested in these is welcome to see mine. Also, if you have any hesitations, find a place to rent one for a night or two to try it out.

    Here's their web site - https://golittleguy.com/

Been eyeballing trailers for a while, keep the details flowing. I was thinking of taking a sun ray 109 and putting timbrens under it and building some skids and sliders..integrate that with some nice fenders.. add a lock n roll hitch too...idk

There are a lot of options out there. I see two options, find something cheap and build off of it.
Or for me find something that is a good enough deal to get into it for. I want a teardrop this go around, but I want a small one.
You mentioned a flatbed. What about something like this to build off of.

Yea that's a good platform. I'm looking for one with heat and air and a kitchen...for glamping. I don't need one for a RTT I got one of those already, the truck.

You wanting one that you can stand up in or a teardrop to sleep in?

Teardrops are REALLY easy to build. I made a full travel trailer with a kitchenette and bathroom, 16' long in college. It cost like 2k.

If you guys want something small and simple, why not DIY it? Seriously, a couple of weekends and you could have one done.

Maybe I should start making these for a living. 5k is nuts. I bet I could crank out one a month in spare time at 3- $4k and make $2k profit a unit.
