quick question

My son is in the market for a 2019 or a 2020 Tacoma but the dealer is telling him that the Access Cab with the Stick Shift is not available for those years in the Off-Road configuration. Is that true?

True, only Sport AC has Manual unless in Canada.

NP my friend, if he wants a used truck he could also consider the 2016 - 2017 SR as it came in AC Manual configurations too.

 

I know that the 2016s came with the Manual because I actually seen one which is why I thought the dealer was bull shitting him.

2015 was the last Off Road AC Manual.

 

I'm not really sure if what I saw was a Sport or Off Road... it was like 3 or 4 years ago so you might be right

 

Out of curiosity, since you're in Oregon, have you looked into what it would take to buy one in Canada and bring it over?

 

This question gets asked a lot, and the usual answer is it's not worth it. Which I don't understand because any f150 traded in within 100 miles of the border usually ends up south of the border.

Dealers seem to do it frequently...mebbe go that route

My friend bought a Canadian Tundra recently. And, I met a guy with a 3rd Gen from Mexico. He said that he paid half of what we pay here.

 

I'm not sure is I would want the speedometer to be in Km's rather than miles though.

So, the speedometer in the 3rd gen is digital now? Shows ya how much I know about them... or dont know...

 

Except I’m assuming the analog speedo is reversed from ours.

 

It’s not. It has a center digital display in which you can have your speed showing but the primary speedo and tach are analog.
