Carytown is like a mile from my sister's place. May have to stop in when I go see her.

I just bought another new toy from Carytown a few weeks ago. They were great to work with and gave me a fantastic deal on a 2019 model that I simply couldn't say no to.

On that note, here's that new toy currently sitting at a friend's house in Richmond while I try to figure out a way to get it down to Raleigh:

I dig Carytown! I live an hour west. For the Love of Chocolate is a great little candy store I take my girls to whenever we go shopping there.

None bike question. But typically people who ride also ski.

So in another life I moved out west after school to live/work for what was to be a ski season. Several years later I eventually wandered back East. Fast forward a decade or so and my folks are clearing some shit out of their house and stumbled on my ski/boot collection.

I’m quite sure the boots are worthless since they’re custom to my feet, and the skis probably are too considering how much ski tech evolves. That and shipping would outweigh any actual value.

My question is more related to the bindings. Anyone in the know have any insight if 10+ yr old used bindings are worth anything? I’ve got two sets of Salomon s9-14s, one set of Salomon s9-12ti, and a set of G3 Targa tele bindings. My guts tells me it’s all virtually worthless. Just wondering if any of it is even worth throwing on fleabay.

If pics will help with feedback I’ll get some.

They might be worth $20-30 at a local Play it Again Sports if that. Your problem is going to be what width they are. Most people are skiing on shaped skis with a lot of your All-Mountain skis being around 95-107 mm in the waist. There are skinnier shaped skis for the Park and such, but those guys aren't going to want your bindings. It's going to be someone who gets a hand me down set out of someones garage and needs a set of bindings for that width of ski. I would think the cost of shipping them back would equal about what you could get for them. See what size waist ski their mounted up to to see if it would be worth it. Stop by a Play it Again Sports and see if they would even take anything like that in

Good point on the brakes. I’ve been out of the ski gear game for 10+ yrs but if memory serves me replacement brakes will likely equal or outweigh the current value of bindings themselves.

Of the 3 Salomon bindings, one set of the 9-14 bindings has 110 brakes. They were on my 105 underfoot daily drivers. The 9-12 brakes are likely 100ish. I ran those on some 90 underfoot groomer day skis. Not a clue on the other 9-14. That was a spare set I had laying around.

I’ll check if there’s a Play it again sports around me. But there likely isn’t much of a market in the south metro Atlanta for winter sports gear.

    Thanks for your input.

Might actually be interested in the 9-14 with 110 brakes. Thinking about building up a cheap pair of powder skis and these bindings would probably fit the bill.

Those are sick. I was/am a downhill skier, with only a handful of tele days under my belt. I picked up those Targas to give tele a go, plus it made a good setup to use crosscountry skiing when my family came out to visit.

As much as I miss everything that went with living out west (the outdoor opportunities, the mentality, etc.), I definitely don't miss shoveling snow everyday for 6 months a year :rofl::rofl:

Keep me posted. I'll see if I can get that set pulled from the skis and look into the cheapest shipping possible.

If you already have something on hand but the brakes are too narrow, I used to just use a butane torch and a vice to 'customize' the widths of narrow brakes I'd pick up at ski swaps. Wasn't perfect and the brakes end up being kinda short, but functional.
