The other option would be an upgrade @llamasmurf

My horn stopped because of a bad ground and wire. I would check the bolt that holds the horns down (that is the ground for the horns) and the main wire (my connector fell off and I just replaced it with a female blade connector)

What's special about it? Looks like a 2012-2015 TRD Sport with a replaced tailgate (theft, collision, accidental damage from unsecured trailer...)

@ToyotaRacingDev did you have a silver tailgate grow legs and disappear from your truck? A mismatched silver tailgate would catch my eye if that were the case.

Thanks guys, I will check that shiz before I do anything else.

It is just the horn that stopped working, everything else on the wheel still works.

    *Edit*
Now that I think about it, it could have stopped working when I installed the ARB bumper, so Peter's idea of the ground coming off up front is a good one.

There is only one wire going to the horns, which I think is the power. The metal piece that attaches to front rad support is the ground. I had a bunch of issues when I relocated my horns, since the wire wasn't long enough, it strained and fell off. simply replaced and good to go.

This was why I bought the 'rock' we drive Peter.

I did not want all those little sensors getting in my way.:bananadance:

This is true... Less to go wrong.

I am still sourcing parts and pricing to delete the ADD for 4wd. Just need a few parts from the FJ and I am good to go.

Try Hank’s Auto Wreckers in St. Clements. They have an FJ I would like the transfer case from eventually.

This is a 25+ years technology and sensor that costs less than $10. But again, 2nd gens are full of electronics and nowhere even close to rocks, take apart your interior like I had to one time and you will find out how many sensors and computers 2nd gens have to go bad. Especially the yaw-rate sensor under driver seat that goes bad first thing after getting wet.

Everyone switch to carbureted trucks and put tin foil hats back!!!
