OFFICIAL XB LED HEADLIGHTS THREAD 16+

PLEASE HELP currently trying to aim headlights. I initially turned one of the adjestment screws way more than 3 times before seeing the little sticker. I dont know what im doing to aim the headlights. currently at a parking lot trying to aim them. turn screws 3 times then what?

 

Keep turning. Go back and read a few pages. You'll have to turn way more than 3 times to even get them to budge.

 

The fix is finding another fuse to tap into but since it's warrantied by trs changing anything without them agreeing might void the warranty. I'm in contact with a few other dealers to see if we can get trs to change the installation instructions

 

So odd. I have a SR5 which should have all these issues if it’s a fuse tap location thing, but I have none. Mine work perfectly.

 

Yea it's strange there's about 20% using the fuse tap reported these issues others don't have issued at all. I'm thinking a new wire harness should fix the problems

 

Well I’m not using a fuse tap and I’ve noticed mine seem to be stuck in dim. They’ve worked properly before but right now they won’t switch out of dim... someone mentioned possibly the sensor for the auto headlights; however, I don’t have the automatic lights so I’m kinda confused.

 

That's very strange. So you have the stock led DRLS on your truck correct? But you don't have autolights?

 

i had to turn mine more then 3 turns to get properly aimed.

 

Well they definitely seem to be prioritizing new orders over the group buy. Ed just said that my shipment my not even go out as “stock is extremely low”. Seems to be quite the turn around from we have over 250 sets which is more than enough to cover the group buy. If I were to do it all over again I would just have paid full price

Shipping depended on where you live so some came out to around $1030 or so. Lights are 1250 that 10% off should be 1125

This may be an odd question, but now with these new lights I keep the switch in the Auto location. I park in a garage so as soon as I start the truck, lights are on and then dim for a second while truck is starting. Is there any long lasting effects if I leave it like this or should I turn switch off when truck is starting or am I over thinking this?

 

Are you using the fuse tap?

 

No. I have factory drl's

 

It shouldn't be any issues with them dimming as your starting the truck. If they dim randomly while running then there's an issue
