I really like that gunmetal! Also, how are you liking those DC Extreme Country tires?

not bad, have around 5k on them so far. Really light and pretty quiet for the tread pattern they have. Do pretty good in mud and boy do they sling it

Thanks Jacob! I was looking at those tires, but didn't know anyone with any feedback on them at the time.

    Yes
So, after doing some research, its looking like if i go with ADS or Kings group buy with remote resi's and clickers, and OME dakar leaf packs and bushings for the rear, will put me in the 3-4k range.

    Now the big question...

Would this money be better spent on something else for the truck? Such as...
    1) Radio/audio upgrade. For what i want will be around 2k.
    2) Bedrack/RTT. This will probably be around 2k as well. Not sure i want to do this now as i want to have a garage to be able to hoist the rack/RTT off when not in use.
    3) y-pipe/exhaust to support SC. Will be around 1-1.5k to do what i want.
    4) wheels/tires. around 2k for what i want. tires will be inevitable soon, those along will be around 800 installed for the patagonia milestars im looking at
    5) dashcam. 500 for the blackvue setup i am looking at...

Edit option 6) regear + front locker... havent done much research cost wise but i believe in the 3k range for everything

So, the same amount of money spent on suspension could be used to do 2-3 of the above upgrades as well. Having a hard time deciding what to do...

Let me help you rate your priorities:
@Gilmorec61 So, after doing some research, its looking like if i go with ADS or Kings group buy with remote resi's and clickers, and OME dakar leaf packs and bushings for the rear, will put me in the 3-4k range.
    1st on the list
Note - It would be best to get a leaf pack that you can add a few leafs to, when you get the tent.
*Best way is to load your rig down how you want it, then order proper rear springs. However, those Icon EXT springs are adjustable. Are they the best, no but they are nice. Or the get Deaver springs for the rear once you know the additional weight.

    Now the big question...

Would this money be better spent on something else for the truck? Such as...
    1) Radio/audio upgrade. For what i want will be around 2k.
    5th
    2) Bedrack/RTT. This will probably be around 2k as well. Not sure i want to do this now as i want to have a garage to be able to hoist the rack/RTT off when not in use.
    4th
    3) y-pipe/exhaust to support SC. Will be around 1-1.5k to do what i want.
    7th
    4) wheels/tires. around 2k for what i want. tires will be inevitable soon, those along will be around 800 installed for the patagonia milestars im looking at
    3rd
    5) dashcam. 500 for the blackvue setup i am looking at...
    2nd
Edit option 6) regear + front locker... havent done much research cost wise but i believe in the 3k range for everything
    6th

Seems like you go out more than I do (camping/wheeling).. and the billies and blocks I have are a pain in the ass I would say since you actually use the truck more than I do I would get the suspension I'm waiting it out since I don't go out too much right now but once I pull the trigger on suspension I'm gonna do it right like how you should.. get the kings buddy

Chris, Like many on here I put an AAL in with my stock ‘17 leafs. I kept the Overload spring in, as I needed the most support I could get when the bed was loaded or towing. This has help me tremendously, however these will get worn out quickly.
I will be ordering a set of Deavers to go in once I finish toying with this camp setup.
You spend a lot of time in your truck and camping, so adding some low pro/mod height bars and an RTT would suit you well.
But I would def put suspension on the high priorities, over wheels and exhaust.

Backup Cam is a must and cheap.

My 2012 prerunner is basically stock. What mods should I do to it first? I want to get loft just gotta save up one for one and of course rims and tires. Anyone else have a prerunner with work done to it so I can see pics?

I would go off what benefits you most. I did audio since it was my only truck and I like my music

Then it was the hunting truck to go to deer camp, we usually left late due to work so I got my bumper so I could possibly tag out on our way down.

Wheels and tires after since they wore out and I wanted to go up to 17s

while it isn't technically getting outdoors, unless there is a patio....this could be organized in the weekly getting outdoors thread just to reduce the amount of places one might need to check to see what's going on.

That's a lot of options. You ride in your truck just about everyday. Getting the right suspension is crucial. You can get good audio for far less than 2k and still be happy. The regear will help with the power output of the supercharger as well, especially if/when you put on larger tires.

FWIW I vote suspension, followed by regear.

In the end, it is your truck and your money. So it is your call.

I'm not terribly familiar with the 2wd options, but it should be pretty similar to the 4wd options just with a few less headaches.

For lift you can go cheap to mild to full blown baja machine. Just depends on your budget. A guy that works for me just put a smaller spacer lift and some rear lift blocks on his 2nd gen 2wd. He ended up putting some bigger than my taste wheels on it with some mud tires. As much as I hate to admit it, its not terrible looking. Still nothing I'd choose to run, but not awful. He says it doesn't ride any different than it did stock. I'll try a get a picture next week. He's a slacker today and I let him cut out early.
