Finally wrapped up my "DMR" type platform too. Gonna use it at a comp in GA next Feb, so I need to get practicing.

Geissele trigger, MK2 rail, and SOPMOD scope mount
    Vortex Razor 1-5
Stag Arms upper / lower (Dad and I have sequential Serials)
Rocking a heavy AF Rock River barrel for now, but upgrading to a Criterion from a buddy shortly.
Swapped to a Surefire 3 Prong shortly after this pic was taken

Best part is that the way it's setup, I could drop the bipod and toss a 40 rounder on and have a great gamer gun setup.

Seriously considering this with. Down to this, Weatherby MarkV, or Christensen Mesa Long Range.

I honestly can't decide. Trying to keep it under $1500. The Bergara B14 HMR Bro has all the features I want, so it may be that. ACIS mags, adjustible cheek pad, stainless barrel, threaded. I keep going back and forth. First world problems lol!

My LR rifle is my AR15 5.56, in my younger days when I was 10ft and BulletProof It was magnums. My 5.56 does me fine out to 300yds, this is my last yrs best 10 shot with my Colt 5.56/Bushnell scope @ 100 yds, took me about 8 minutes:oops: to shoot this group, I'm not a speed shooter that's for sure.

Buddy has an MPA match rifle in 6.5cm, with one season under its belt. Has a 6.5 blank on the shelf for it. Now is all talking about building a complete new rifle in 6 GT... le sigh.

I was all about getting a 6.0 of some sort for my next build, but I decided to stick with 6.5. While i liked the lower recoil for follow up shots, I didn't like the smaller impacts long range, much shorter barrel life, and cost of new tooling. Oh, and I also got a deal on a new 6.5 barrel:D
I'm not inherently wealthy like most of these guys.

PRS is an equipment race. I’m the guy in the back picking up their leftovers and doing just as well at a fraction of the cost. :)

Yeah, I haven't shot PRS, but I have our KYL, and those are PRS guys. It was a no-limit bunch, for the most part. Most were very cool, but there were a few asses and most extremely competitive,,,, I'm not referring to finances either.
I'm regretting not building a nicer 22, and investing in NRL22. Our NRL22 group has had this discussion, we've voted to KISS. Some of our guys went to the last finals, and we're surprised by the gear, apparently guys were bringing trailers full of gear, and some shooting several different rifles from stage to stage
I'll see it through the center fire build, if nothing else, I'll have a nice LR gun.

I’m not doing PRS persay, hell I don’t know what events I’m doing.... my buddy takes me along. For the most part the shooters are really cool, but some are total asshats that take the world too seriously. They remind me of those types in Auto-x that carry a dog eared copy of the most recent rule book at all times.

I shoot a mostly stock Savage 12lrp and have fun with it. I don’t take it too serious, but that’s my problem.

I’d love to do a NRL22, but I have only one .22lr repeater. All my accurate stuff are single shot target rifles :)

Try base class, very cheap. I'm shooting a CZ457 and a Vortex Diamondback, about $1k. Hell, I'm a lefty shooting a righty

Nothing wrong with Savage, most of the cool kids poo poo them, but my LRP is accurate and I shoot it well. Second part just as important, as the first.

I’ve been in the savage game for a long while, the 12lrp is my third action, and a shy first in accuracy over my 110 build into a single shot 6.5x55. The 12lrp continues to amaze, and I love the switch barrel thing. Thinking about pulling the trigger on a factory take off 1:9 26” stainless fluted 22-250 to play with.

The NRL22... can one shoot that with single shots? I’ve got a pair of Remington 40x’s, and Kimber 82G that are boringly accurate. Wife has a Savage Mkii bvtss too, but confidence is much higher with the 40xb-hb :D

Yeah, I went with the Origin action on my new build, so I can thread on Savage style barrels. I haven't actually done this yet, but I'm close, I have all parts, waiting on barrel to be finished and need to buy a scope. I'll eventually build a second, but I don't have the resources to build a $3-4k rifle per caliber either.

You could, but you'll most likely run out of time on nearly every stage without a detachable mag rifle. Our club MD has loaner rifles, and guys loan their gear out, it's my understanding this is common at other matches, so you may look up your local guys.

I really like big horn, and as soon as I can sell some left over car parts, I’ll be ordering up a TL3. Still have that 6.5x55 barrel in a sock, and being small shank it’ll spin right into the bighorn. 12lrp is large shank, otherwise I’d be short loading some 137 scenars to get into the savage/darkeagle max coal. I’ve run some silly tests, and I can easily eject a 3.08” round from the 12lrp’s port. Seems like I shouldn’t but it somehow works.

I’ll have to get the wife’s mkii out and see how it does. I remember it being pretty accurate, but I’m just spoiled.
