    We got his after he turned 3. I so t think schools need a diagnosis til 8 or third grade. At least that’s how it is here. Of course tho the earlier the intervention the better.

    We had been doing ST and OT since he was 2. Got to school they dropped the OT. Which I was fine with. Now they’ve dropped the ST because they say insurance has to show progression. They’d do it, then stop him. He’d loose progress, they’d start it back. Then rinse and repeat that cycle. Fighting with insurance is the most frustrating.

    my youngest son, Baily. Was born with seizures that are still uncontrollable. The Dr’s said he would never walk. Each seizure takes a little more from him. He is now 21.. still in diapers, has to be fed, but is the most happiest kid and always was. He can walk, and basically is a 10 month old in a man’s body, so it gets interesting. His mom and I divorced about 7 years ago, so he could get SSI.
    The system sucks and medical bills almost bankrupt me, because he had no real diagnosis.. the insurance fought constantly with claims.

    we have jumped through so many hoops I'm dizzy.
    he's basically been getting everything possible since 2.5 though so I am happy. I've been at parent education courses and parents didnt realize till their kid was older, they all said we were luck to start so young.

    my boy is fucking smart too. scored in 95 percent title for all 3 year olds. Thought he tested himself out of special ed but due to speech he didnt. he's in a non categorical special ed preschool, a step up from the autism class, he's killing it too.

    were pretty lucky

    translation we just became closer with more in common
