Got confirmation my TRD Pro is being built today. Delivering late November or early December. I cannot wait - will be my first time back in a truck since my old Jeep Comanche in high school!

Awesome. But I am a bit surprised that you didn't buy the new Jeep pickup.

I looked at it. Like the Tacoma quite a bit more. Besides, the Comanche was the only option i had when i was younger - now I have the freedom to choose. ha!

Same. Having owned several Tacomas and Jeeps over the years (CJs, Wranglers, Grand Cherokee). I took a serious look at the Gladiator. I liked it but spec’d out with the options I wanted the Tacoma with similar options was always several thousand cheaper. Just couldn’t justify the extra cost since I don’t need a hardcore dual axle off road focused ride. And sadly, the Gladiator is 5 inches longer too. A tight fit for my garage. Don’t get me wrong, I do like what Jeep has done with the Gladiator and new Wrangler, but I ruled them out pretty quickly for my current needs. And as much as I loved my Jeeps, the Tacoma is far nicer to drive on road!

I test drove the gladiator. Offroad, it's better (on paper and mostly in practice). On road, it handled like a pile of hot garbage. Top top it off, it looks like one too.

    Little cosmetic stuff.
My 2020 OR has the same issue. My 2014 4Runner is much better.

I bet the cameras are okay, if only they could be properly displayed. For example, I immediately noticed that the Apple CarPlay interface was noticeably worse looking on my 2020 Tacoma compared to our Jeep w/CarPlay. Screens are both similar size but the Tacoma screen is simply a much lower resolution which makes everything displayed on it look slightly blurry. It's a shame Toyota went with such a crappy screen PPI because functionally the new head unit is pretty good.

It is my understanding the filters for the 2020 V6 is the same as it has been since the 3.5L was introduced in the Tacoma in 2016. My wife's 2016 Lexus RX 350 uses the same filter as well. I hope so as I have 1/2 case of them in the garage.

    Part # 04152-YZZA1

If this is no longer the filter for the V6 in the 2020 models would someone please let me know?

Our local dealer has a 2020 Pro for $4,500 off MSRP.

They are also sitting on 2 2019 Pro’s that in one case appears to have been there since last winter.

They are taking $5,000 off all other 2019 models.

    $4,500 off a 2020 Pro?

Is that a good deal or Too Good To Be True?

Smoking deal if you can get it. Too bad it's not a manual.

Contacted them. Confirmed it’s the price.

They don’t have the price advertised on the 2019’s.

One 2019 is a white manual. Hating my 2015 over drive lock up vibration at 68,000 miles.

Otherwise love the truck. Did the tranny flush and everything. Just annoying. A manual would solve that.

Love my 2018 Pro and other that a squeaky clutch pedal (easy TSB fix) no complaints. Plus manuals are a dying breed so you have to get while the getting is good.

    A02341F6-2466-409D-9131-A793D84A7F68.jpg Okay,

I’ll admit. I have the 2019 Pro Wheels and BFG ATKos on my 2015. Plus 2019 coils and shocks with 1/4 spacers. Have the 2015 Pro Headlights and a host of other fun options.

So peeling me out of my 2015 is a challenge. Plus, Blue Ribbon. Best color ever.

That said, the torque in the 4.0 is fantastic. I have loaner-ed the third gen when overnight serviced and would have to have a manual to survive it long term.

May just go down and see what a 2019 Pro goes for. Apparently that price is a secret. 2020 Pro is 9% off.

My dealer was doing this shit. I'd go down and see them and they would tell me "clerical error" and a few hours later the web page was updated with the MSRP Price with a line through it but no actual price.
