    No.

For clarity, because I have seen this question multiple times. The puddle wiring T-harness picks up the signal BEFORE it goes to the map lights that will turn your map lights on IF they are set to door. You could pull the overhead console out and it will have No impact on the function of the puddle lights.

With that said, @MESO is developing a switch that is quite similar in function to the map light on/off/door switch. IIRC, it is almost ready for full production and/or sale, will come with a plug and play harness, and will fit in the small Toyota switch (like the ECT button) holes.

Mine’s a two way; up for front, down for rear, center for normal. Shift knobs are momentary if you're thinking Meso knob

No. That’s the tall switch unfortunately.
The inverter is the correct size hole.

Sorry not in my truck right now, so will this need a switch adapter before it can be installed or will it fit a blank spot somewhere?

I bought one of those panels on shapeways that gives you an extra switch hole in your overhead console for the 17 TRD OR. I have been looking for an excuse to use it. Is it that size switch?

Also, do you think the wires you're planning on supplying will reach to that location if I want to put it there?

Ok thanks, I guess I'll need a custom switch panel when you open up orders again
