How much are you looking to get for them? Good call on the torch.

I'll weigh in here, as well. I'm an avid skier... used to be an instructor for a season, and worked lift ops for another.

The bindings probably aren't really worth anything meaningful either, as others have mentioned, the cost of the brakes will cancel it out, plus, depending on how much use they saw, the springs, or other components in them may be worn out, so they're potentially unsafe since the DIN reading on them won't be accurate, and they could unintentionally release.

Good input. I'd considered the possibility of some functionality loss in the bindings, but wasn't certain. I have no qualms with tossing the whole lot, aside from the fact that its more shit going into some landfill. That and I have a little sentimental value with some of the skis.

Just to toss in, I also worked lift ops for 3yrs. Great way to get a free pass and ski 180+ days a year. So long as you don't mind living off of Ramen noodles, drinking cheap beer, and living a half dozen skids deep in a 2-3 bedroom house

There's a lot of fun to be had on this earth if you are willing to be egregiously poor with no health insurance. :D

One of my friends here is a lifty / ski bum for 2 years now, and spends her summer as a divemaster in the Caribbean. Tough life

Sometimes I wish I weren't so damn conservative. Dirt bag life sounds liberating

I'm sure. I tend to play the long ball with my decisions. But I could die tomorrow

Long as my wife and I don't have kids yet then we got time

You could turn the skis into a Shot-Ski. I'm about to do that to my old pair. The bindings, yea, I don't know, attach them another pair of skis and hang them up as a decoration or something?

and yea, ski bum life is great, but untenable if you want any stability... I'm hoping to eventually move into a compromise-type situation where my current career some how allows to me work and live in a mountain town, or spend a lot of time up in one.

Pretty much finished the build minus a few little details. Probably won’t be able to take her out till Monday.

They are- mine is Carbon too so I think that may help. It’s surprisingly supple with the big fat tires. I think I was overinflated last weekend, this place beat me up.

I'm here to join the party!

Also... looking for ideas (images) of high-clearance, swing-out rear bumpers with a spare tire carrier, and access to a 2" hitch for the 2x-bike rack.

This was my first Mountain Bike. A 1990 Diamond Back Topanga. This was the fall 1990 Fat Tire Fallout. I delivered Papers and bussed tables for that bike. It was 379.99 or a million dollars to a 13 year old!
